About this ebook

Cassie Trey doesn't live a normal life. She works as a spy for the ancient and secretive Master Chikara. Her latest dangerous assignment: get close enough to billionaire Oliver Riley, the head of Sparrow Pharmaceuticals, to find proof of and destroy his plans to create a biological weapon.

Working as his personal assistant, however, Cassie discovers more about herself than about the weapons. Will Cassie be able to keep her mind on her objectives when she finds herself in close quarters with Oliver Riley?

This 12,000 word spy thriller romance is the first instalment in the The Spy and the Billionaire triology, following Cassie Trey and the billionaire Oliver Riley. Here's an excerpt:

Cassie immediately made her way towards Mr. Riley’s office, but it was locked. She went through her purse, but Cassie couldn’t find her key. “Shit, don’t tell me I left it at home” she muttered to herself. Suddenly, Cassie heard voices. They were coming up here, and Cassie was absolutely trapped. Damn it, damn it, damn it. I’m caught. I’m definitely caught.

Just as Cassie was preparing herself for capture by the guards, she felt someone in front of her. Suddenly, his lips were on hers. Cassie looked up in surprise into the eyes of her boss, Mr. Riley. The guards came storming up the stairs and looked with suspicion at the couple making out.

“It’s fine, let’s keep moving” one of them eventually said, and they continued through the floor. Cassie had barely noticed. She was confused, but also incredibly turned on. Mr. Riley was, if nothing else, an excellent kisser. But more than anything, Cassie wondered why he was doing this. There was time for questions later though. Cassie wrapped her arms around Mr. Riley’s shoulders and pulled him towards her, arching her back. Despite the fact that the men had gone, Mr. Riley reacted, wrapping one arm around Cassie’s waist.

Riley slipped his tongue inside of Cassie’s mouth, and she moaned as he began to explore her, began to explore the inside of her. She couldn’t believe this was happening. Why was he doing this? With one swift motion, Mr. Riley lifted Cassie up, and she wrapped her legs around his thighs. He carried her to the table until he unlocked the door and carried her over to his desk, placing her gently on the edge of it. Their lips were still locked, the two of them not having exchanged a single word.

For His Eyes Only (The Spy and the Billionaire Part 1) (A Romance Spy Thriller) - Juliette Jaye

For His Eyes Only (The Spy and the Billionaire Part 1)

Cassie looked up at the dilapidated, concrete building she was standing across the street from. Before she could enter it, she had to make sure she wasn’t being watched. When enough time had passed, with no suspicious figures, Cassie swiftly crossed the street and entered the courtyard leading to the building’s entrance. She swung open the old, creaky door which had obviously not been replaced in years, took out her trusty old keyring, with no identifying features, and undid the industrial strength padlock closing off the entrance to the stairs. They couldn’t take any risks. After all, with urban exploration becoming a trend, there was always a risk that a few city explorers would stumble upon Cassie’s destination. And that was something that simply couldn’t be allowed to happen.

Cassie frowned as she climbed the stairs to the third floor of the building. The dust from the building was beginning to settle on her suit. I have to remember to clean myself up a bit before I go back into the street looking like this, or everyone will notice me Cassie thought to herself, brushing a cobweb off her shoulder. This building had been a hospital once, back in the day. Then, when the city underwent budget cuts, it closed down. Cassie’s organization thought it fit to purchase the building, through an anonymous company based in Cyprus. No one would ever discover the building’s true owners.

When Cassie finally reached the third floor, she stared down a long hallway, the sign to the side announcing that she was entering the operating section of the hospital. She smiled to herself. After all, operations were what Cassie did. They just weren’t the same types of operations that Doctors used to perform here in the 80s.

Her heels clacked against the old tile floor, a small poof of dust exploding under her feet with every step. Finally, Cassie threw open a generic looking door, same as all the others. Inside this door, however, there were five people already waiting for her.

You’re late, Cassandra, announced a small, aging man in the corner. Master Chikara was the only man who ever used Cassie’s real name. She bowed to him.

I apologize Master Chikara. He nodded, and Cassie sat down on a stiff office chair, the first piece of furniture she’d seen since entering this building that didn’t have any dust on it.

Master Chikara wasn’t Asian at all. He was stooped over with age, his hair white as snow. Still, blue eyes shone behind his sagging skin, alive with life. Master Chikara had grown up in Kansas, and when he was fifteen years old, run away to California and gotten on a boat, not knowing the destination. When he found himself a teenager in Japan, only years after the end of the war, the man who was then known as Tom Lexington thought he had made a terrible mistake.

However, he was discovered by a man who taught him not only martial arts but mental arts as well, and turned Tom Lexington into Master Chikara. Although Master Chikara was well into his eighties now, none of the other people in the room would dare to challenge him, as they all knew Master Chikara could destroy them both mentally and physically, despite his appearance.

The group was made up of a ragtag gang of people who, if looked at individually, had absolutely nothing in common. To Cassie’s right was Charles Korm, sitting tall in his chair, at attention. At least six and a half feet tall with dark skin
