Chapter 1
Josie woke up and saw her cap and gown thrown carelessly to the floor. Her head was still a little woozy from all of the partying that she’d done the night before. Her prom was fun, but her graduation night completely eclipsed it. She had less than two months before she started college at Northwestern, and she couldn’t wait because then she could get away from her current reality. She figured that she was so much better than that shit.
Her focus shifted to the photo of her and her parents. She fought back tears as she thought about the huge milestone that they’d missed in her life. Her heart hurt as she crossed the stage because she knew that they weren’t going to be in the audience cheering her on. It had been 5 years since their tragic car accident, and she was still having a hard time coping. She no longer talked to people about it, but it still hurt like hell. Her mom and dad were the best parents that any child could have. Her father Miguel was a handsome and attentive Cuban man, and her mom Chante was a beautiful and assertive black woman. Josie was with her god mother Jessica when she found out that her parents died. She was only 13, and it rocked her entire world. Her mother didn’t have any family that she trusted, and her dad’s living family was back in Cuba, so she had to live with Jessica and her husband Cameron. It felt like cruel and unusual punishment to Josie. It only made her miss her parents more.
She grabbed her laptop to see what Jessica and Cameron were doing. She’d given them a shitty alarm clock for Christmas, but it was really a surveillance camera. It started out as a joke between her and her best friend Megan. They were wondering how big Cameron’s dick was, and Josie said that it had to be huge in order for Jessica to put up with his shit. Josie also wanted to see how he put it down in the bedroom. So she gifted them the clock and it was one of the best decisions ever. She’d not only gotten an eyeful of what was going on in their bedroom, but she also found out that Cameron was a cheating asshole. He brought his assistant back to the house and screwed her in the bed that he and his wife shared.
Josie saw it as being trifling and grimy. They were damned near rich, and he couldn’t take his tramps to a hotel or fuck them in his office? She always knew that he was a cheater and seeing those tapes confirmed everything that she already knew about him. It annoyed her, seeing him and his smug face every day. The summer had finally arrived, and she would be able to put her plan into action.
His life of tricking off would be over, and he would belong to her. The thought of him belonging to her got her a little horny, but that wasn’t her main motivation. She just couldn’t stand him, and he was used to pushing women around. He’d been pushing Jessica around for years, and she’d just mindlessly let him. It was enough to make a regular person sick to their stomach. She could never understand how women cowered to men.
In Josie’s opinion you didn’t have to bow to any man when you have a pussy, an amazing body, and intelligence. She learned that from her mother. Her mother didn’t teach that lesson to her verbatim, but she taught it through her actions. Her dad was wrapped around her mother’s finger, and he did whatever she wanted. He loved and respected her mother, and he catered to her every whim. Her father told her that men should put their women first. He believed in respecting his wife, providing for his family, and Josie never had to ask for anything.
Jessica and Cameron didn’t have any children and their household was the complete opposite. Cameron was the reigning king of his castle and Jessica was a high end concubine. She seemed blissfully unaware that she was married to a cheating asshole. Josie gave her a little sympathy because he was sexy as hell and hung like a horse. He was 6’2, with a dark chocolate complexion, muscular build, and an equity partner at his law firm. Panties disintegrated whenever he walked into a room.
Josie pulled up the surveillance software and saw that they were getting ready to start their day, and she quickly grew bored. She then turned back the video to see what they’d done the night before and all they did was sleep. How could two hot people have such a boring ass sex life? She closed her laptop in disappointment and walked to the mirror. Her fair skin was flawless and her hair fell in huge black natural curls down her shoulders. She grunted in displeasure because she’d just gotten her hair straightened a few days before but she’d completely sweated it out. She pulled it back into a ponytail and headed to the kitchen. She made herself eggs, toast, and bacon. It was a simple breakfast, but it was her favorite.
None for me?
Cameron asked as he startled Josie.
Josie turned to glare at him, Nope, none for you.
It’s okay baby; do you want me to make you something?
Jessica said as she entered the kitchen.
No, I’m going to have breakfast at work. I just wanted to see if Josie was going to be nice for once in her life,
he said with a smirk.
Josie’s blood heated to a low simmer, I’m very nice.
Girl, in what world?
Jessica asked playfully trying to lighten the mood.
In this one,
Josie said as she sat down at the table to have breakfast. She couldn’t wait until the two of them left for the day.
What do you plan on doing today now that school is over?
Jessica asked.
I’m going to hang out with Megan for a while. We’re gonna go shopping downtown in Chicago. That hot new Michael Kors purse was just released.
What time will you be leaving?
Cameron asked.
I’m leaving at about 10:30 to pick Megan, so don’t wait up.
Don’t stay out too late. I don’t want to hear Sandra’s mouth again. You kept that girl out way longer than you were supposed to,
Jessica said.
Sandra was Megan’s mother and she liked to keep her daughter on a short leash. That was really hard to do when she was best friends with Josie. Josie didn’t like rules and broke them every chance she got. Sandra hated that she was friends with her daughter, but she felt like it wasn’t much that she could do about it.
No worries,
Cameron chimed in, Let them go out and have a good time. I’m sure she’s not trying to get her friend into any more trouble.
Josie could see the wheels turning in Cameron’s head, and she knew that he was planning something. She was going to have a good day out with her best friend and then an even better night watching the camera in his bedroom. She was going to ask him if he had any special plans, but she thought better of it. It wasn’t time to tip him off about what she knew just yet. She was still editing the video that she planned on sending him soon.
Cameron and Jessica were out of the door within the next half hour, and Josie took her time beautifying herself. She took great pride in her appearance, most of it was natural, but she put in the added effort. She admired her reflection in the mirror and vowed to keep up her fitness routine.
