- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5T.D. Alexander's book is an excellent primer for Pentateuchal studies. The first part of his book focuses on the textual criticism of the Pentateuch. Alexander takes an evangelical approach, but his dialogue with the Document Hypothesis is both informative and engaging. The second part of the book focuses on themes throughout the five books. His insight is enriching and highly recommended for anyone unfamiliar with Old Testament structure.
