Chapter 1: The Trap
Luke was lucky, very lucky. If he had been thrown onto the road, he could have easily broken bones and even his back. But he was fortunate enough to land on a thick patch of bushes that slowed him down.
This meant that, although he was knocked unconscious, he opened his eyes a few moments later. His head was sore, and so was the rest of his body, but he knew he had to get moving fast.
He could hear the Subaru Outback pulling up just beside him. Luke hoped that the men might think that he had left the bike on the track and made a run for it. If they knew the truth, that he was only a few feet away in the underbrush, they would easily capture him.
Luke decided that it was best to stay as silent as possible.
He could hear the men arguing as they moved about on the road. One of them wanted to drive further on to see
