Leopards before breakfast. That’s what Johan Theunissen and Jacques Barlow promised me. Johan and Jacques, both from Pretoria, have a long history with the Pilanesberg Game Reserve; Johan is field guide and Jacques is a keen wildlife photographer.
We meet at the Manyane gate. Johan sits in the passenger seat beside me and Jacques sits in the back with his photography gear.
Johan spent most of his childhood years in Pretoria but he also lived in Mogwase for a while – a town next to Pilanesberg.
