How to use this book
Listed at the beginning of each skit are the number of participants required and any props which may be needed. Generally, there is a minimum number needed to perform each skit, however, additional participants can usually be added. The dialog between participants is in plain text, while instructions for actors are listed in italics. Variations, when they exist, follow each skit.
Preface
During my many years in Scouting, I have had the opportunity to participate in many campfires. The performance of a new skit can be the highlight of a week at summer camp. Scouts like to perform skits, so the same skits tend to be performed over and over again. Scout Skits is my attempt to re-introduce some popular old skits to younger Scouts. Additionally, Scout Skits catalogs most of the skits that are popular today, and introduces some new skits that I have authored.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy Scout Skits, and that it helps you create outstanding campfires. Special thanks go to those who contributed to this effort. They include Paul Kallmeyer and Joseph Bajek two longtime scouting friends, and Renee Allen who performed the proofreading.
I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Participants: 4 to 5
Props: A wrist watch
To perform this skit, a group of 4 or 5 Scouts sit on a bench or log with their legs crossed, right leg over left. The Scout at the left end of the log turns to his right and asks the question, Is it time yet?
The Scout to his right responds, I don’t know,
and turns to his right and asks, Is it time yet?
This is repeated until the question reaches the end Scout who looks at his watch and responds, Not yet.
