EXCERPT:
“Why do you want me?” I asked, wanting answers. I was so confused over why such a gorgeous guy would want a big, ugly girl like me.

“Why chose me over all these other women here? I know that’s you’re picky about them.”

“Very well, I’ll tell you the truth,” he said, looking away from me. “It’s because I’m a werewolf.”

“You’re a what!” I exclaimed. I couldn’t believe this. It had to be a joke. “Are you crazy or something?”

Kyle stood up with a commanding presence. He looked absolutely serious. “I’m telling you the truth. I am a werewolf. I am man and beast combined.”

“I won’t let you make fun of me,” I cried out in anger. “I get enough of it at my office. I’m leaving now.”

“It’s just as I thought,” he sighed, bringing his hands to his collar. “There’s only one way to convince you.”

Kyle began unbuttoning his shirt. Soon, his chiseled musculature came into view. I saw the deep valleys between his hard abs. I saw the budge of his muscles as his arms unbuckled his belt and took off his pants. A thin sheen of sweat coated his body from the curve of his neck to just above his pelvis. The moonlight bathed his body and highlighted each contour of his toned body. He looked so inhumanly strong and beautiful.

That’s when I noticed patches of dark hair appearing over his body.

Deflowered by the Lone Wolf (BBW, Alpha Wolf Romance, Paranormal Romance) - Violette Springs

    Deflowered by the Lone Wolf

    By Violette Springs

As the line moved up, I absentmindedly stood still in my tracks. I was anxious as hell about getting into one of the most exclusive clubs in the Los Angeles party scene. Only the pull of my arm by my best friend’s hand beckoned me forward. There were impatient club goers behind us and I wasn’t keen on getting trampled by them. Not many people got to go into the infamous nightclub known simply as ‘The Den.’

You’ve got to relax, Rachel, my best friend chided, giggling at my nervousness. It was so easy for her to say this. She was confident and brave as I was meek and mousy. Unlike her, I wasn’t a regular in the club scene. Reading a book out in my apartment’s balcony with glass of hot cocoa was my idea of a good night out. This is our first night out together in weeks. Let your hair down and have some fun. They’re going to be a lot of hot guys in here.

I saw the brightly lit sign blaring over the club’s entrance. The words ‘The Den’ were inscribed within the sign. I could already hear the pulse pounding music being played inside The Den. It poured out of the club like a waterfall of loud electronic music. I had always been a more classical music kind of girl.

This seems like a bad idea, Sandra I said to my best friend. The name of the club made me think of an animal’s lair. I imagined its inhabitants giving into their animalistic desires. It was definitely not my type of place. Maybe I should go back home-

You’re not getting off this easily, Sandra said, grabbing my arm to stop me from leaving. She frowned at my anxiety. After all the work we’ve done this week, we owe it to ourselves to have a girl’s night out to ourselves.

Sandra and I worked at a paper company. Yeah, like the one from The Office. By that, I mean the show in the United States. While she worked in Human Resources, I worked in accounting. Even though the work wasn’t terribly exciting, it paid the bills and kept a roof over my head.

I’d like to say we have the same office antics as the TV show but it’s a nine to five slog each day. For good measure, none of the
