Kate Lasco gripped the steering wheel till the plastic made sounds of protests. She relaxed her fingers. The last thing she needed was to snap the damn thing off. Then where would she be? Stranded on a dark road, in the middle of the night, in the pouring rain with nothing but rejection and regrets for company.
