About this ebook

On the eve of human clinical trials for her company's new anti-obesity drug at a military-run facility, April West is brutally murdered by a jealous co-worker. But death is only the beginning for her. Driven by a zombie-fueled hunger for brains, flesh and blood, she seeks bloody revenge on those who have wronged her.

The military has been waiting for a chance to capture a "live" zombie for decades and they mobilize to capture April. Will she fall into their trap before she feasts on her killer's brains or have they underestimated the power of an undead woman scorned? Bloody, gory and unrelenting, "Dead Woman's Curve" is a dark 18+ horror feast.

Robert Ropars

Just turned 40, living in the Chicago area since 1986 and into writing and photography. I'm a voracious reader and open to most genres. As an author, I've published "Carriage Returns" (poetry from 1988-2008) and "Romantic Confessions" (poetry and haiku 2008-2009). In 2010, I started exploring e-books/e-readers and decided to publish a book in serial format. Dark Bites is a four-part horror e-book series. Four women... four tales of death and spine-tingling horror. Explore new twists on classic horror stories (zombies, werewolves, vampires and ghosts). These are the women of Dark Bites. Order a copy of Dark Bites: Four Tales of Horror now! This collection contains an exclusive bonus short story/sequel to Windy City of the Dead called Dark Bites: Part 5 - As the Crow Flies.

This ebook is dedicated to curvy women, in particular undead ones, everywhere, horror lovers in general, family, friends and my loyal fans. In particular I want to thank and show my appreciation to three people who contributed to help get this book done and out there: Mika Tan (http://twitter.com/Mika_Tan), Lance Roger Axt and Alec Wisner.

I would like to acknowledge two sources that helped me sort out technical details related to clinical trials/drug development and military rank. Thanks to the California Biomedical Research Association’s Fact Sheet New Drug Development Process (http://ca-biomed.org/pdf/media-kit/fact-sheets/CBRADrugDevelop.pdf). Thanks also to Wikipedia for their entry on military rank details (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army#Rank_Structure).

But there’s someone out there who really made this book happen: a lady, who personifies Vampyliciousness, inspires this artist and keeps horror sexy. This book is dedicated to the gracious, amazing, gorgeous Brooke Lewis who helped inspire the idea of curvy zombies. Take time to get to know her and show her some love:

    Prologue

The cafeteria was dark. Security lights were mounted sporadically on the walls, and they punctuated the inky blackness with small pools of illumination. A young woman cowered in a corner far away from any light. She was shaking and tears were streaming down her cheeks. Her eyes were darting back and forth, up and down searching for someone…some thing…it.

A noise came from within the darkness and her eyes desperately sought the source. She could hear it breathing and the raspy sound was getting closer. She strained to see the creature. Her heart was beating so loudly she was sure it could be heard across the entire expanse of the cafeteria.

She saw movement, but she wondered if her eyes were now playing tricks. A strong smell reached her, and her nostrils flared in reaction. The stench was worse than anything she had ever experienced, as
