About this ebook

After the tragedy at Cattle Valley Days, Carol McGowan woke in the hospital to find George Manning hovering over her. George confessed he'd fallen in love with her, but Carol is skeptical. She knows George is bi-sexual and has been in an ongoing secret affair for years. She's been down that road before and ended up on the wrong side of lonely. Carol learned from her previous relationship and isn't in any hurry to jump back into another ménage.

George Manning has spent the last nineteen years hiding his love for his closeted friend and country music legend, Trick Allen. After almost losing Carol, George decides to grab hold of the love in front of him, instead of the dream he's always chased.

Trick Allen spent years building his career. With the reputation of being a typical love 'em and leave 'em superstar, Trick hid his love for George from the rest of the world. When presented with the choice of losing George forever, or stepping out of the glittered closet he'd become accustomed to, he is faced with the ultimate decision. Is a real life worth risking his career?

Three people, with very strong personalities, try to blend love and home amidst a national outcry of vehemence.

Carol Lynne

An avid reader for years, one day Carol Lynne decided to write her own brand of erotic romance. While writing her first novel, Branded by Gold, Carol fell in love with the M/M genre. Carol juggles between being a full-time mother and a full-time writer. With well over one hundred releases, one thing is certain, Carol loves to keep busy writing sexy cowboys, shifters, bodyguards, vampires and everything in between. Although series books are her passion, Carol enjoys penning the occasional stand-alone title. As founder and President of GRL Retreat, Inc., Carol helps organize the annual GayRomLit Retreat. Now in its sixth year, GayRomLit is an annual retreat that brings together the people who create and celebrate LGBT romance for a one-of-a-kind, must-attend gathering of dynamic, informal, and diverse fun.

I loved the characters in this story. Those of us who have been reading the entire brilliant Cattle Valley series finally find out why Carol has been so 'bitchy' as we learn more about her past. George turns out to be desperately in love with a man who has put his career first for 19 years. When George finally makes a decision to put that behind him and build a life with Carol, the woman he has come to love, it forces Trip, a famous country singer, to re-evaluate his life as well.

I loved the way Carol turns out to be the katalyst George and Trip need to figure out that they do belong together. The development of this triangle is at times nerve-wracking until the characters 'get it', but I was cheering them along the whole way. What a great book!

I've been waiting for Carol's story for a while. I'd expected Carol to be the reluctant on in this trio, but it was the men who were reluctant while she was trying to get them back together.

And yes, I know I could have started this series with this book, but I wouldn't have had any idea who all the people were and I would have been lost. I understand why the publisher (and author?) suggest that you read them in order. It's like a gay (mostly) soap opera!
