About this ebook

From Stephen R. Covey's eldest son come a revolutionary book that will guide business leaders, public figures and their organizations towards unprecedented productivity and satisfaction. Trust, says Stephen M. R. Covey, is the very basis of the 21st century's global economy, but its power is generally overlooked and misunderstood. Covey shows you how to inspire immediate trust in everyone you encounter - colleagues, constituents, the marketplace - allowing you to forego the time-killing and energy-draining check and balance bureaucracies that are so often relied upon in lieu of actual trust.

The book is by Stephen M.R. Covey, who is the son of Stephen R. Covey. Stephen R. Covey is the author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This book explains how trust allows for more efficient operation. Trust is based on competence and ethics. Ethics has a number of components. His point makes a great deal of sense. Stephen provides examples from business and family, which he uses to make his points. I recommend this book. I good deal of what is stated is common sense.

So many truths and things that make you stop and think. I had fantastic discussions with my husband about this book. He was reading it for the group of people he works with, but we found it applicable to our relationship as well. Really good!

Management handbook: actually pretty good; full of practical points and specifics and manages to stay in the business mind set and not stray too much into the realms of self-helpy nonsense.

I was a little hesitant to buy this because it was "Covey's son." Was he writing a book and hoping to ride his father's coattails? He hooked me quick, though, as he told the story of the low trust he experienced during the Franklin and Covey merger. He was writing what he learned from that experience; it's not just a theory. I enjoyed the book, and would recommend it.

A powerful interpretation of trust as a fundamental personal and professional tool. Important in both contexts is its discussion about establishing trust with oneself.

The son is a better writer than the father. He shows how without getting bogged down in little things.
