A small bear lives with a British family.2.5/4 (Okay).Only three books in, and this series has gotten pointless surprisingly fast. Reading it feels like watching a 1980's cartoon series. It's still kind of cute - and short and harmless - but it's not something to bother reading unless you're nuts about Paddington.

Another round of Paddington stories, this time helping other people in different situations.First of all, the Brown family go for a boat ride and a picnic. It's Paddington's job to "work the ropes" but he succeeds in only falling into the water and losing his hat! Then he goes to an auction with Mr Curry and buys an antique marmalade stand for ten pence. If that wasn't enough, he decides to do a bit of DIY and ends up cutting Mr Curry's table in half! After causing havoc at the cinema, Paddington looks after the Browns while they are ill, making them the largest dumpling ever (with two bags of flour!). He also takes their washing to the laundrette with predictable chaos.Last but not least, Paddington gets taken to a fancy restaurant for his birthday where he orders a marmalade sandwich and custard.A great book with great illustrations and fun to read! :-)
