Basically I have been a traveling poet and writer for most of my life since about 15 or so. I published my first book of poems entitled 'Who Are You?' in 2002. I wrote a children's book entitled, Brother Bear and I about the same time in 2003. To date I have published also a book on Chongqing as well as one on investing in the stock markets. In the future I will publish a humorous book entitled 'The Mystery of Medicine and How to Escape From It'. I have lived in many places in America, Mexico, Philippines and China. I have found that following the yellow brick road will lead you to the truth. What you do with the truth will change your life. Change is what the earth needs now. No MORE WAR !! Just as Orson Wells said 'war is peace', you always hear this from the US gov. But it is not true. War doesn't bring peace nor safety. War destroys those who would maintain their freedoms mostly. We have allowed the International Banking system and others to become too powerful and now we must rethink our existence in order to safeguard the future. We must vote with our money and our purchases. It has come to me as I have traveled that there is and has always been more than enough of every thing on this earth for all of us. I have walked the deserts of North America and the Washington Rain Forrest as well. I have gone down the Amazon in South America by boat and walked in its midst. I have visited the most crowded cities of the world, Mexico City, Mexico and Chongqing China. We all over the world in every school have been denied even the knowledge of how much there is and how we can protect it. There is a light which was produced by Edison and is still burning now over 100 years. When we build things that last such as this then our resources too will last and our earth will sustain its health and balance. There is renewable energy that can be produced in each and every home that is clean and only has the initial cost of construction. This was released world wide by a group called HopeGirl on project Avalon Forum. This business of letting the corporations run governments and politicians with their greedy ways for profit and only offering us outdated technologies in cars and energy only will eventually destroy our green and blue world. We need to all band together demanding change, seeking and teaching the ways to love our earth and care for it and for sure we need to take the care of it out of the hands of the monopolies that are indeed trying to destroy her. We no longer should allow them to harm her and go unpunished. People are not evil but monopolies run by evil profiteers are. I have attained a variety of experiences over the years. I began to work at about 9 years of age working with my brother in our family tomato selling business and then did many other things over the years. I have owned my own construction firm and done well in sales at times and marketing of many different products. I have been a licensed insurance producer and stock vendor. I served both in the Navy and National Guard. Over the last 20+ years I have studied nutrition and history extensively. I did special studies in religions and politics as well as economics. Not only have I studied these things but have also put lots of these studies to practical uses as well. Presently I am a professor of English in Chongqing University in China. I enjoy providing healthy foods to my family and friends and helping others to find a healthy way of life in counseling. Please don't hesitate to leave me a note on my website or drop me a line if you would like to discuss what I have put into my books. You my readers are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Please post a review of what you read. I appreciate it greatly. Oscar -Oz Benson

Chongqing China How to Find What You Want - Oscar -Oz Benson

    Introduction

In this day many are becoming globalists and living and traveling their dreams. There is a rise in Expat living magazines and books all over the book stores and internet. As many as 20,000,000 people are living and traveling as a constant lifestyle today. Many are finding that this is not only achievable but enjoyable. Some of these people live out of a suitcase but many find a place and settle some times for years.

In the last decade there were about 400,000 expats a year leaving England and less from Germany and Italy. Nearly 3 million or so had left England by the end of 2010. In the US there are more, over 5 million, and they flee even though they are still required to pay income taxes (USA is the only nation that requires this) outside of the US. Many however, every year renounce their US citizenship to avoid this. In the early part of 2012, there has been new legislation introduced to still go after those that make more than $100,000 per year.

    In

2010 there were 4000 foreign students and workers, from different countries in Chongqing. Mostly the biggest numbers of workers were nearly 150 or more ESL teachers and the rest were students. By the end of the year 2012 there should be more than 10,000 students and workers. Many of the workers now will also be in private businesses and factories as well as other industries. In China as a whole there were 600,000 people living and working or studying in China during 2010 that were not Chinese. (Citizens from other countries and not from Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan) The majority, of this number, were Korean, Japanese and American. When I got to Chongqing in 2008, there were very few foreigners that you would ever see on any given day, outside of the occasional tourist. Some days there would be as many as 4 busloads of tourists from Europe, usually

    Germany.

By far the best and most current information about living as an Expat will be found on the net. Escape Artist dot com is one of the best. They offer a huge array of different subjects as well as a magazine and many books. The Expat blog is another place too that covers a great amount of ground. When it comes to teaching English in China though, you should look up Dave’s ESL CAFE.

Some call themselves, culturalists, and say that they are seeking and enjoying the process of knowing about and living in other cultures. I have met several who are Peace Corps workers as well. Some here are teachers and because the teaching regimen is not strict it allows for much time to be spent in the leisure of whatever hobbies you may wish to pursue.

One of my acquaintances has spent a lot of time studying and helping the natives of Dali near Kunming in Yunnan province, to be recognized and to have their needs better met by the PRC (People's Republic of China).

Some places in China about 20 years ago were like going back a hundred years or so. Now nearly everywhere you look, you see China as a modern thriving industrial giant!! I was so amazed when I first arrived you would be able to count more than a dozen huge cranes putting up new buildings no matter which way you looked and no matter where you stood in any city.

Here too you will find information about medicine and herbs and acupuncture as well. Many people here use a variety of medicines. Western medicine is popular as well. There are some pitfalls to western medicine here though that I will tell you about on these pages.

If you like living in the wilderness or away from society there may be some opportunities here like that still as there are many areas where there is in fact wilderness.

Chongqing is a small province but considered a huge city of 34+ million people. It is the largest incorporated city in the world. Chongqing is also an historical financial center of China and may soon again be the future financial center of China. Chongqing began as a mining town about 3000 years ago.

Transportation and even moving and other things for instance buses and taxis and trains, all will be talked about so that you can easily go from place to place in China and understand what to do if you have problems.

Look here for the ways to get around and recognize what you see even though it is in
