Right now, I'm living with MS and a brain that malfunctions at the drop of a hat! Life is certainly interesting and different! Talk about learning to be flexible! :)With a history of classical piano training, time in Drama and Theatre Arts (although I was never a good actor...well, at least not on stage!), I have worked as a Professional Nurse and a Midwife (clinical and management) plus National Marketing and Selling of medical equipment and surgical supplies.I always wanted to retire at 40 but forgot to be specific - you know, things like good health and a healthy bank balance!I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2000 (yep - I was 40!) and Medically Boarded in 2001. Life is certainly an interesting trip...day by day....moment by moment. What a ride!Since then I have been fortunate enough to publish a book - The MageStaff - see below (most of it written before 2000!) and have now finished the first draft of a prequel and am well into writing a sequel, loads of poetry (check my blog: The Wayward Warrior), short stories and living life as it happens - you just never know what is around the next bend...!Bragging rightsPublished Author and Poet, Accomplished musician (although now unable to perform), Successful National Marketing and Sales Management, Successful Nurse and Nurse Manager.Do hope you enjoy what tumbles out of my brain and makes it to the publishing stage - don't worry, I have it well checked before putting it up for you to savour. All feedback welcome.

Above the Storm
Do you think we can make it?
Pete shouted at Jerry. Thunder cracked overhead and rain lashed at the windscreen. A lightning bolt flashed across the sky to the right. Pete tightened his grip on the side of his seat. Jerry was checking his instruments.
Everything looks fine,
he shouted back over the noise of the storm. We’ll be okay!
Pete wasn’t convinced.
Foxtrot delta three three two to tower, come in tower, over,
Jerry spoke into his headpiece.
Ah, theese is de tower foxtrot delta three three two. Are you sure you do this? Over,
the heavily accented South American voice came back, crackling through the speakers. The question did nothing for Pete’s nerves.
Looks like the best time to me tower, over.
replied Jerry.
Okay, your responsibility, yes? You put, ah, pen on forms, your head, so you go....foxtrot delta three three two, you clear go for runway, over.
Thanks tower, over,
Jerry clicked off the headset, as if he wasn’t paid enough, he’s still covering his ass,
he mumbled.
Pete frowned, Huh?
For the flight recorder, Pete. If something happens this dude thinks he can slide out of any trouble by just saying it was our choice. Ha!
Jerry snorted and pushed the throttle levers forward. The engines responded; unfortunately, so did the storm. Thunder clapped right overhead and a lightning bolt struck the ground a few metres to the right of the plane. Pete jumped in his seat, his whole body going rigid for a few seconds before he reached for the door lever to climb out.
That’s it, I’m outa here,
he screamed at Jerry.
Relax,
Jerry shouted back as the plane lurched forward. They rode over the grass between the five other planes, all wrapped in tarpaulins and tied firmly to their tie-down anchors. The wind was up and all their lines were taut as the planes rocked from side to side, straining to break free and ride with the rain. Theirs was the only plane moving forwards. The two
