CHAPTER 1: HANGING

It had been almost a week since Jennifer's poolside tryst with James and Gavin, the 20-year olds who just happened to be her son's friends. In that time she had the opportunity to reflect on her wanton behavior. She realized she should have been ashamed and filled with regret but instead felt alive and liberated.

She was now standing with her hands on her hips. She was wearing an off-the-shoulder sweater and a pair of denim shorts that were tight but comfortable. Her stance was causing the sweater to lift up and expose her tanned stomach. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see James sneaking glances at her as she argued with her son and this
