About this ebook

Puppet Girl has been inducted into the Goon Squad -- Manchester's Special Talents Response Team -- but is very much on probation. When her first time in the field goes badly wrong, it looks like her new career might be over before it has even started. But she has one champion who will stand up for her and who suggests a new course of inquiry that might just save the investigation. Plus, as a bonus, it involves hitting the nightclubs.

Find out what happens in GOON SQUAD #2 "Nightclubbing."

For most people, the first day on a new job is taken gently. There are usually a few forms to fill in, perhaps an ID picture to be taken, a short presentation by a nice person from Human Resources, and a little film about health and safety on site. It is highly unlikely that the neophyte employee will be abandoned in the middle of a container park where they will subsequently be confronted by a werewolf.

Nadiya Kysla's curriculum vita wasn't much like most people's, though. It was short, but interesting, detailing a decent degree from a Ukrainian art college, immediately followed by an extended membership of a notorious anarcho-terrorist group, then a brief term of incarceration, and finally a period of low profile temp work. It was intelligent; she could see that in its eyes, and by the fact that it wore devices of some sort strapped to its forearms. Perhaps this was how Des Garbo turned into a monster, she thought. Perhaps the devices control his metamorphosis.
