Graham Pritchard, a 40-something man, has lost his parents along with his motivation. Struggling with gambling addiction and depression, he finally reaches his limit when he catches his wife in bed with another man. As he sets upon revenge, he inadvertently discovers that he has been the victim of something far beyond what he could have ever imagined.

Luke Orchard is a native of Milton Keynes, England and studied Comedy Writing and Performance at Southampton Solent University. He is a keen actor and stand-up comedian. Luke suffers from anxiety and as part of his recovery process set a goal to write and publish a short story. This is his first publication and it will soon be made into a short film.

So there he was. Rain trickling down his face into his open mouth, he stood there frozen like ice with a thumping heartbeat, about to make the biggest decision of his life. He counted to three and booted open the old rusted gate. As he ran towards the front door with an axe in hand, flashbacks of the day in which changed his life came rushing into his head.
It was a warm quiet morning in the English countryside that was then disrupted by the sound of an alarm clock. Only having a few hours sleep, a disgruntled Graham sat upright and opened his eyes to start his Monday morning. As he looked around to locate his glasses, a scream from downstairs made him jump. Suddenly a shaking voice was heard.
Graham! Graham! Come quick!
Shooting up like a tiger about to chase its prey, he ran downstairs to aid his wife.
Mel what is it? What’s wrong?
As he reached the bottom of the old wooden staircase, his prized trophy wife was sobbing.
He’s in there, in the kitchen,
she gulped.
Graham’s adrenaline started pumping as he picked up an umbrella and ran through the lounge into the newly furnished kitchen to greet the intruder. However when he got there, he couldn’t locate anyone.
Where is he? Where are you?
He shouted at the top of his voice.
After a few seconds Graham turned back to face his wife.
I thought you said there was a man in here?
he exclaimed as he tried to catch his breath.
There! There he is!
Graham quickly turned around ready to unleash a mighty blow with his umbrella, however, the kitchen was still
