Wedding Celestial - Srikrishnan Ku
Where are you?
Trees appear bare, so even great sky-
Where are brilliant sun, white moon
Flicker stars for I do not see you today?
In all thy face I see all beauties of nature-
Eyes take me to crystal clear waters of Ganga,
The forehead's brightness is Himalayan crest,
The lips seem to invite me to ocean of milk,
Whole face radiates in splendour of love,
Unravished,unknown,unthought of, my beauty!
God must have wondered at your graceful
Colour, shape and form, He swooned awhile-
For all your dazzling appearance knocked Him.
Blessed I am to be thine, the more you are with me
Merrier I become like a fly that falls inside honey.
There is one fear that lurks somewhere in my heart-
That Time like a thief may steal away only my youth,
For thy flesh that evokes so much attraction be spared
As another figure or form like yours shall never sprout
Upon the Earth that loves her fairest, unique daughter!
Flowers stop to wither, birds refuse to fly, clocks stop time
At your movement that jealous fairies above strike from work!
Heaven Here
Sweet tunes of joy added beauty
As life assumed its daily glow,
Birds were busy moving about
Men and women rushed to work,
I did my morning yoga in peace,
A great feeling of joy leaped out
From a single thought of a face
That affected me of late so sharp,
It is not just the features physical-
Her smiles, her gestures, looks-
With epic proportions rise
To shake my strong psyche
Which is not open to all.
With waves of inward smiles
I proceeded to bathe in all jubilance,
A thought flower is sweet in love
For it unfolds a thousand petals
Of music,scents,abstract visions.
The whole day was a day of triumph
All my studies took me to lands of love,
Where she and I alone mattered.
With cinematic brilliance of scenes
Where little appears big blasts,
So minute, so catching were moments,
The promised time came more like dream,
Roars of waves deafened our ears,
Sky threatened with dark clouds,
We were like ethereal creatures-
Wholly contented in union of hearts-
Where world became a dot of nothing.
O those wonderful days, weeks, months!
What happened later is our own story-
We live in same pure holistic ecstasy,
Life's happy journey grows gentle
Into mythological heights, believe me-
'True to one another, win life with smiles'-
We follow, the soft winds confirm it,
Nature is our witness, our model,
Turn to see their communion, life is easy!
Dew Drops
Two sparrows we saw making love
we were together that afternoon
on the lonely spot of a Great Lake
Beneath a neem tree feeling its scent.
We smiled, we thought of Andrew Marvell
For reason best known to us, you made me
Describe a new location for lovers, I agreed-
'A red rose is made to enlarge to seat two,
You and I sit there feeling its coziness,
A bee tries to stretch its jealous prick,
We fight it out in all might, for we are tiny'-
So my story went, we laughed, we felt
Melted, our hearts wept, we knew why?
It was our last meet, we parted with
A good bye, for we were made with
Such strong stuff, no tear, no fear-
Only being together, no sentiment,
We agreed, spent our short stay
In admiring each other, but
