In 1722, Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh went with his whole family on a holy trip. They reached Patna while travelling through places. There he made the facility of staying at Seth Jetram’s house for Mata Nankiji, his wife, his uncle and many more. After this he along with his other followers started on a journey to promote Sikhism from West to East.
In this manner, Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and the last Guru of the Sikhs was born on 22nd December, 1723, in Patna. As soon as he was born there was a divine light around him. His face was really bright. All the servants started seeing him in shock. They had never seen any child like this. All the Sikhs were elated at the birth of the child. That day the whole Patna city celebrated his birth and a lot of donations were made.
When he was born Guru Tegh Bahadur was in Assam. When he reached back to Patna after he had travelled through Bengal, Assam and other places, Gobind was 4 years old. He had decided the child’s name before itself. He had told his wife and mother that if a boy was born then he would be named, ‘Gobind Roy’. Hence the child was named so.
Sayyed Bhishan Shah and Guru Gobindji
His first distinguishing experience after birth was with Sayyed Bhishan Shah, a resident of Patiala. He was a resident of Patiala but at that time he had come to Karnal.
Bhishan Shah was meditating at a time when through his powers he came to know that there is a divine power in Guru Tegh Bhadurji’s house. He soon reached Patna to meet him. He
