And Then I Fly
I’m waiting. Still waiting. I’ve been waiting for what seems an eternity but I can’t lose faith now. I’m restless today. Walking around the perimeter of the building I can see there’s a crowd of people below. Sometimes there are so many people the back edge of the crowd is visible even when I stand a few feet back from the ledge. The crowd is there all the time while they wait for another bus to come and they can get away from the city. On occasion someone will shout and ask what I’m doing. I don’t know that I can explain it exactly. But I have to be here. I have to wait. We don’t know the time or the day but it’ll happen.
It’s sunny today with bright blue skies and a few birds have joined me. At first I thought they were sent here as a message for me to remain constant. Maybe they are angels but when my mother came up with more supplies, they flew away. She said they wouldn’t do that if they were angels. But I don’t know. The Bible doesn’t really describe what angels look like.
I was so lucky to find the manuscript from Sir Issac Newton about the Rapture happening in 2060. I wouldn’t have had time to prepare otherwise. I’ve been telling my Mom that she needs to accept Jesus as her personal savior and wait with me. She gets a sad look on her face when I say this. Even when I tell her about the coming tribulation, she still looks sad. I don’t want to scare her but she can’t be here when that happens. I want to keep the commandment to honor our mother and father. And the one about not killing. But what if you kill someone to save them?
I’m so excited to meet Jesus. We’re going to met in the air when the Rapture happens. I don’t really understand that. Will I be angel then too?
I’ve been on the rooftop for three months and four days. I have a red tent and a sleeping bag. I cook on a little green stove that my Mom brings little canisters of gas for with the new food. She says it’s lucky that I’m a boy because it’s easier to go to the bathroom. That’s why she can’t stay with me all the time. Because she’s a girl. Female I should say. I have to remember that’s a more respectful way to say it.
I was a college student studying physics but then I started getting sick all the time. It took me some time to realize the reason I was getting sick was because of the huge void in me. In my research I found this verse from Daniel, Chapter 8:27, And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the King’s business, and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
After dropping out of college, I continued studying the original paper from Sir Iassac Newton as well as the books of the Bible he based his theory on. It’s been said that he’s the not the first philosopher of the Age of Reason but the last magician of the previous age. When you dig into his teachings, it’s very evident that we need to return to the correct teaching that God has set all aspects of our world in motion. Newton’s arguments were so compelling that The Rapture will occur in 2060, which is this year, but no month and day was given. I realized I need to learn the Bible and was so inspired that I’ve memorized most of the Book of Revelation. We need to be prepared for what’s coming.
Looking over the edge I can see that police have gathered on the sidewalk below. They scare me sometimes by flying over the building in helicopters and shining a light on me. My mom said I should just go into the tent when that happens. So I do. The light shines down on the tent and being inside also protects me from the dust that gets stirred up. They dropped a package of food once with a note that I should come down. They tried coming up the stairs once but I caught them and threw bricks at them. After that, I found a way to jam the door so no one can come up. I know when it’s my Mom because of the special knock. If it’s just her she has one knock but if she’s been trapped and there are police with her it’s a different knock. She figured that out so I would know it’s safe. She told me it would make her happy if I took my medicine again but I need to be pure for Jesus. I don’t like the medication, it makes my thinking fuzzy. She understands that and doesn’t force me. I think I have time to help her believe while we wait for Jesus to rescue us.
The food has lasted longer than my Mom said it should have this time
