When Jonathan sat for his morning coffee at the small shop, he was not expecting to meet anyone. He was expecting to have his drink then move on with his long day.

Being a mechanic required his complete attention to detail and full concentration. Happy that it was his own shop in the end, he had come to appreciate his life as it had turned out. The old owner had left him the place since no one in his family was interested where Jonathan was the closest he had to a dear son. It was not free and clear by any stretch of the imagination having paid dearly to Chuck's family. They demanded it after the old man died but the grateful boy was only too happy to comply and keep the work space he loved and knew so well.

No one else helped. Apprenticing someone was a chore he postponed for as long as he could, doing all the work himself. Still strong and powerful, he needed little help and loved the privacy it afforded him while listening to music he enjoyed. No one interfered with his routine making his life rather simple.

Delighting in the bliss of the mornings, he picked up the latest reading and a newspaper heading to the coffee shop where he sat down with a toasted bagel and black coffee. It took a good hour to unwind and enjoy his coffee. Most
