In the Guide, my first chapter is about the history of Europeans in Virginia in the seventeenth century. Because of space limitations, we had to omit the tours that went with this chapter. Jean L. Cooper has been a librarian at the University of Virginia for almost thirty years. Currently, one of her jobs is Genealogical Resources Specialist.
