()
About this ebook
This concise and friendly guide to the Enneagram, a popular personality typing system, helps you understand just what personality is and how it affects your everyday life for better or worse. Unlike other personality systems, the Enneagram yields information that helps you make the most of your personality style, without being pigenholed by it. Illustrations and celebrity examples help make this introduction to the Enneagram crystal-clear.

What is personality?
Your personality consists of all the ways you behave that are predictable (which could include being unpredictable). Your personality is what other people expect of you after they’ve known you for a while; it’s the face
you present to the world, made up of all your usual behaviors. You may be moody or cheerful, determined or indecisive, sociable or private, or some combination of these qualities (and many more, most likely). What’s more, you may express contradictory qualities without even being aware of them.
It’s difficult to recognize and understand your own personality. It would be like trying to draw or describe your own face if you’d never seen it. You know your personality is there, you know it has definite characteristics, and you know that people respond to it in certain ways. But you can’t quite get a complete picture of it. You’ve probably realized that your personality is bigger, deeper, and more complex than you’re usually aware of.
Perhaps there are parts of yourself that make you uncomfortable, that you may even wish would go away. Sometimes it may feel like parts of your personality
