About this ebook
Set in the year 2045, The Kingdom Come, is a saga of adventure, intrigue, and romance, sweeping across the western hemisphere. Pilot and entrepreneur, C2, lays out a plan so daring and dangerous the idea is breathtaking. With Garrity, a non-conforming genius, he joins Streeter, high on the US watch list, and his special operations buddies in executing the plan and claiming a large French Territory in the Caribbean. Even though France engages in nefarious activities and evacuates 300,000 people, they aren't about to yield to a ragtag bunch of ‘Terrorists.’ Georges LeDieu, the President of France, is involved with sinister underworld powers and must recover the lost territory. Only he and his Chief of Staff know the secrets in the tunnel maze underlying the abandoned territory. Deschamps, France's most famous Green Beret, fails to retake the Island, because the newly entrenched Occupiers possess mystifying technology. When the Grand Council opens the newly confiscated territory to settlers, Jessica arrives to learn the secrets of the mountain defenses. Her beautiful face and body have opened countless doors in the past. After C2 succumbs to her charms, she begins to waver. Meanwhile, the Occupiers continue with the master plan to defeat France, which depends on Captain MacArthur Merrit, ex rodeo cowboy, and a small, ancient tramp freighter to cross the Atlantic in hurricane season and return France's own hazardous waste. In France, Merrit begins an affair with a black artist from Mauritania and must get her out before it's too late. Deschamps returns to spy, and falls in love with Jessica. Booted off the Island again, and disgraced, he plans his revenge. Events culminate in a fierce race between France, C2, and Deschamps, for the ultimate prize hidden in the Mountain caverns.
Mike Cyrus
Following his love of the outdoors after high school in West Virginia led Mike Cyrus to the University of Montana, where he worked his way through school parachuting out of airplanes, and leading ground crews to combat wildfires throughout the US. In all that time, Mike never missed hunting seasons and practicing his religion of floating and fly fishing Montana's great Blue Ribbon trout streams. After 17 years of fighting wildfires, and owning several businesses, he took up cattle ranching. Now retired from ranch life, he lives mostly in a remote internet challenged village in Panama with his wife, Rosa, and their two children, Dixie and Dusty, where he actively fishes, snorkels, and scuba dives the blue Caribbean waters beside his home. Mike lost his first son, Chad Hunter Cyrus, when his Super Cub plummeted to the ground after encountering a microburst near Miles City, Montana, August 18, 2011. A self described Hemingway-ish adventurer who made his own way, Mike takes pride in his independence, rugged individualism, and 50 years of bigger than life experiences from the wilds of Northern Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. He says that he has finally slowed down a little and spends full time with his family and wholeheartedly enjoys preparing his children for a joyful, untroubled, meritorious life, while beginning to fulfill his lifelong dream of writing novels. The Kingdom Come is the first of three, which will be interspersed with a series of short stories already written ‘along the trail.’ Look for ‘Tall Tree Chronicles, Rip-Roaring Outdoor Escapades,’ Parts 1 & 2, coming soon.
