Operation Marie-Louise was the rescue of Resistance leader Gilbert Renault (Rémy)’s family from Occupied France in 1942. It involved disguising a refugee motor trawler from Concarneau to mingle with legitimate Breton fishing vessels and achieve a daylight rendezvous.
