“Is this a tattoo?” she asked as she marveled at the image emblazoned on her lover.

Lexi smiled down at the younger woman. “Yeah, you can say that.”

“It’s a special tat. Let’s call it a piece of three dimensional body art.”

Bryn grinned and rolled her shoulders. “Sure, why not?” She kissed the flower one more time.

A girl like you comes along oh so very rarely, Marten said to her. He was a little older than his wife, friendly, not at all creepy. He was just starting to develop crow’s feet in the corners of his eyes and his curly black hair had the hint of graying at the temples. He claimed his family always went gray prematurely.

His girlfriend rolled her eyes and said, Just call her what she is, a unicorn. Lexi gave their new friend a wink. It’s a compliment.

Oh. There was a nervous bubble in Bryn’s stomach. She had never done this before and was eager to jump into the opportunity but she was also a little bit nervous about it. Marten and Lexi seemed a nice couple and even though they had made their initial acquaintance on an internet dating website, it was an unusual moment. Bryn had never slept with another woman let alone a couple. She wanted to do this; she needed to do this, but making that final step over the line of what was acceptable in polite society was proving more difficult than she had anticipated. "Does it come from My Little Ponies or something like that?" She took a gulp of her wine.
