My name is Brendan McDonagh. I am a life coach, wellness coach and former 5 star chef. When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I became my own health coach and thankfully, I was able to reverse my diabetes and receive a complete bill of health.

I started to see positive results only one month into my system and was effectively clear of type 2 diabetes after one year, but in being political with the way medical records work, I continued to present tests for 3 years, so as to show my medical test results and eliminate any doubt. This also kept my doctor on my side. I did all the experiments and tests on myself while keeping meticulous records, and in doing so, I discovered a much easier way for people to go about managing and reversing diabetes.

You’ll find that my approach is different than most, and for good reason. I’ve been there. I was where you are – in total despair. I was frustrated by reading and hearing so much information, all of which seemed like it was designed to make me want to give up. Against it all, I chose a different route. As we begin, I have an important request: make the commitment to read this book through to the end before you start to implement any action steps. I would also recommend that you refer back to it regularly as you implement this program and use the charts at the end of the book. This will ensure that you get the results you seek.

There is already a plethora of books written on type 2 diabetes and they mostly relate to providing information on how to live with type 2 diabetes. There are also some books written on reversing diabetes, but they tend to explain systems that are completely unsustainable and therefore only address the short term. As you will have seen from the title of this book, with my proven message and method, I intend to show you that type 2 diabetes reversal is well within your ability and I believe that you too will receive the same words from your doctor/medical professional that I did in the summer of 2011...

You no longer have type 2 diabetes due to your lifestyle changes.

Those are exhilarating words to hear, to say the least, and you can be the next one to hear them!

If you feel scared or anxious I completely understand how you feel. I was also fearful and anxious for some time after I got the dreaded news. To my horror, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the summer of 2008 and not only that, but I had the full type 2 diabetes profile:

* I had the hereditary factor (My father died from a heart attack as his body gave in to the degenerative effects of diabetes, gangrene, transplants, amputations etc.).

* I was in the right age group for ‘adult onset diabetes’ (which usually, though not always, occurs from age 45).

* Diabetes is weight driven and I was 53 pounds overweight according to the BMI (Body Mass Index).

* I had high blood pressure

* I had high cholesterol.

The picture did not look good.

When I referred to my horror of being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I will share with you that as my doctor gave me the shocking news, my blood turned to ice. One of the reasons for this was that I had relatively recent firsthand knowledge of the horrific effects of the downside of type 2 diabetes. My father had died only four years earlier at the age of 74 having suffered many of the complications of diabetes, including Gangrene and several invasive operations and amputations, so as you can imagine, when I was diagnosed, the bad memories came flooding back to me instantly.
