ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I would like to acknowledge Shoshana and Valerie for helping me write the actual book. You guys are awesome. Thank you!
Oshinavato
One day my brother, a bat, two dolphins, and I were packing and getting ready to go to Oshinavato, a magical island where the trees were purple and the flowers were green, which was famed for mystical creatures like the fire breathing Pirhanapus.
Hey there, mates, it’s me, Zeda,
I said. Crash! Five of my Goosebumps books avalanched on the floor. My paws clenched. Get your furry tail out of here, mate,
I said to my 15-year-old brother, Spot. Wow, 19, and I can’t get privacy!
Then I asked him if he was okay and told him to be careful. I love him. Now that he is the only actual family I have except for my mom, I would do anything to keep him safe.
You’d expect a lovely polite dog, though I’m rather a tomboy. I ran out of the blue human-sized house that had a huge dog bone perched on top of it. But my suitcase spilt, leaving a trail of zip lines, candy, arrows, swords, and video games. Wait up,
said Spot, my younger brother. You always leave me behind; remember that fancy school in Britain?
Right next door, we can find the next two animals. Their names are Sparkle and Bubblez, but you might know them as the Magical Dolphin Sailor Twins. Their exploits include slaying the fire breathing Pirhanapus and getting their entire crew to safety, even though Bubblez is 21 and Sparkles is 17. The Pirhanapus is an octopus mixed with a Piranha. On each hand is a Piranha’s mouth. That means eight mouths of fury, each one as strong as an axe. TTYL mom! We’re going to the dock!
Sparkle yelled loudly, grabbing her makeup set and getting Bubblez’s bling for her.
See ya, ma! Hurry up, Sparkles,
said Bubblez softly, kissing her mom on her cheek.
Bye, my sweet Bubblekins and Sparklefun!
said their mom.
Then I saw Knight, the fiercest bat in town or at least he thinks so. He was walking down the sidewalk to the dock bravely and proudly with a puffed up chest to prove he was strong. Here I come, Oshinavato,
he said. Then Spot and I walked down to the dock.
Hi!
said Sparkles. You the cuties we’re swirling to Oshinavato?
Yes, all right?
I said. You the captain? That Knight?
They were looking at me oddly after I said, All right?
I don’t know why.
Yep,
said Sparkles, finally.
I’m Knight, the strong, and buff bat that will be leading you to a perfect trip,
said 18-year-old Knight as he marched over, chest puffed up, stuffing two handfuls of French fries in his mouth. He immediately choked.
When he stopped coughing, he said I will be your big handsome bodyguard on this fine trip to Oshinavato, but for now, you want some fries?
as he shoved some near my face.
Get your filthy chips away from me,
I yowled. I hate it when Americans share food. They are always so sloppy!
All aboard?
asked Bubblez.
Yes!
said everyone.
We’re setting sail!
said Sparkles. I could smell my vacation waiting for me!
Here is the ship. It’s a mini cruise ship with floors covered in a red sparkly carpet with a motor in the back and
