- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I cannot imagine the pain and struggle the author went through for thirty years. I likewise can't conceive of the travel opportunities she was afforded. One thing that bothered me was her consistent references to her grandsons as "fatherless boys"; wasn't Scotty also fatherless, past a certain point? Did her grandsons not grow into decent men, despite their "fatherless" state?
