Mary Aggie

My name is Mary Alice Barnes Aggie; and I was raised in Waterloo New York. I am the seventh child of eighteen siblings. These books of poetry and short stories were written by me; through my lengthy communication with the Holy Spirit. I hope these words will inspire, encourage, and open the eyes of believers and non-believers to the reality that God may not only be talking to me, but to you also.

    This Book is dedicated:

To my late sister Donna Barnes and her children

    Players Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray, Dear Lord don’t let me creep

These thoughts keep running through my head

About taking someone else to bed

But if I should die while on my creep

I know my soul the Lord won’t keep

    Don’t be afraid to win

You will succeed this time; be patient you will not fall short of this course; you will win,

    Trust in the Lord.

Believe in him and you will see him cheering you on, waiting for you to succeed.

    None can stop it.

Stay true to Him, stay true to His word.

Success is the beginning of love.

Love self and you will be a winner.

    Dangerous Deception

A rose fell from her hand

When she caught her fiancée with another man

Shock is not powerful for the way she felt.

It was as if her eyes belonged to someone else,

These eyes are deceiving me, she thought, what I see is not real

In the blink of an eye how can so much damage heal?

    A Fool

    That’s who he would choose

    If he had a mate

    That couldn’t think straight

    That’s who he would choose

But a woman loving and attentive to him

    That’s who he would lose.

On the outside looking in Again

This time without a window to crawl in

No door no passage to the roof

I’m slipping and falling without any proof

I feel like this is my life ending for me

I have taken away all my liberties

I can’t find my way on a one way street

I can’t trust anyone I happen to meet

My path is familiar my eyes are dim

I still can’t seem to find my way in

The streets are long yet my life is short

I have a plan yet I have no course

What the hell is the matter with me?

I have eyes but I do not see

I have feet that don’t move or March

I hear the beat but I have no heart

    My mind is speaking

    My voice is creaking

    No words no moans

    I’m alone

My hands want to point but they have no direction

I want love but I get no affection

Lord help, Lord don’t let this be

I want you to come see about me

This is a place that I don’t understand finale on next page

I’m trying to make it through any way I can

Thank you Jesus for taking me here

But help me Lord to overcome the fear

Streets are wide the path is narrow

I feel like a wing on a wounded sparrow

The light I see but I cannot follow

I can’t look to today when I can’t see tomorrow

Take me Lord and put me in your will

My throat is to dry to swallow this pill

I’m free from pain free from me

Free to go where you want me to be

Free Lord my soul says go through

This is what God wants you to do

Don’t be discouraged don’t let life take you down

Don’t let it attack you, don’t be bound

    Stand up Mary

    Stand up God is saying

This is not the time to be playing

Go forth believe and be independent

Go forth believe and be independent

God wants you to succeed and you will if you don’t stop here.

    Think it’s a Game

I saw it coming down the street.

And on every face there was a white sheet.

It chased and terrorized me into the night

And I ran as it pursued me to take away my life.

I could feel the horse’s hooves right at my back.

And I knew any moment they would attack.

It was frightening and I asked myself, Why me?

I just want to go home to my family.

Soon they had my back against the wall

And I said the only name that I knew to call.

I prayed, Lord Jesus please take it away

I’ll come back to you and, this time I’ll stay.

Please help me Lord I promise I will do right

    But I need this one
