This is part of our Creating History series and is a short, funny play for 7 - 11 year olds, including craft ctivities. Set during the second world war. some girls are going out for the evening to the dance, but they don't have very fashionable clothes. There are some black-marketeers offering clothes for sale. The air raid siren signifies trouble as well. Ideal for a class or group project, or for individuals to have fun. Full instructions for making an air raid warden's helmet and armband. Can be used as a video project with friends or a radio style play, or create your own show with puppets. The possibilities are endless.
