ohn Waters hasn’t made a new feature since 2004’s , yet the cult status of his film work only grows with the passing of time, especially the early, notorious, shoe-string budget ones (, , ) made with his drag queen muse, Divine. There is also the runaway mainstream success and, of course, , featuring a murderous Kathleen Turner. Waters now channels his agile and biting intellect into other creative outlets: writing books, performing stand-up comedy, running John Waters Camps, creating a Christmas show lifetime achievement award.
