Peter Fifield

Just who is the Author named Peter Fifield: I am a father who has experienced the happiness of a relationship and the heartbreak associated with premature loss, a man full of life due to the frustrations and joys of raising two teenagers.I am an internet published author of 15 books with readers in countries as diverse as India, Japan, Great Britain, Canada and the United States of America. I am a man who questions the performance of Christianity on the part of groups professing true performance a man who questions religions demanding obedience to their beliefs without encouraging exploration of truth on the part of followers.I am a man who supports equality of opportunity, treatment, and justice for every man and women on the face of the earth. I am a seeker of knowledge that transcends the bounds of culture and religions, and the constraints of governments and self-interests. Why do I write? It comes from the heart. It pours out in the night. It is the desire to communicate feelings others may share. It comes from the recognition that life is a journey that can be shared with other travelers when communicated. It comes from the recognition that words can heal, inspire, create dreams, and also let us touch reality. But most of all they allow us to express to others what we feel in our own hearts. That is the reason we read and quote others who have expressed what we ourselves share. ~Peter Fifield

    The Story Begins

I’m going to do it, I’m going to write about you.

You, you inspire me. Since I spotted you, since I saw you that day on the bus you haven’t left my mind. What is it about you that inspirer’s me? I don’t know.. I want to write about you, I want to discover you through my own words and create something beautiful.

Am I allowed to do this? I am allowed to take you, your very being and turn you into words and a story all of my own

I have no plot, I have no idea where my words will take me. I’m breaking the rules.. I shouldn’t base a character on someone I’ve met. But wait I haven’t really met you yet.

You’re just a stranger, whose walked into my life. We sat staring, palms pressed on the windows, it was raining gently and we examined each other. But every time we caught each other eyes we looked away, embarrassed that we were both looking.

Anyone reading this now, probably won’t understand what I’m going on about.. But I have to vent this somehow.. I have to start this idea in some form or another.. And maybe venting about this person is the best way to start..

Ask yourself, have you ever been inspired by a complete stranger?

Then, you find out .. That perhaps..

They aren’t a stranger to you. Not at al

    observing

    the tears

    that flow

    unceasingly

    from inside.

    Soon,

    her tears

    will evaporate,

    leaving only

    the salted

    dusty remains

    of a soul burnt

    and cindered.

    Forgotten.

    Hopeless.

How did you find the forgotten light

    That was hidden behind

    The scars within my eyes?

    Your faith has

    Sparked a flame,

    A light.

    You fought my fears,

    Defeated my demons

    And slayed my shadows,

    Just to see me shine.

    Her Biggest Fear…

Tell me one of your biggest fears, he whispered into the crook of her neck as she lightly ran her fingers through his long black hair.

The question caught her off guard, simply because she never took the time to really figure out her biggest fears. Of course there was the obvious spiders, bugs, death, heights, etc…but none of those common fears exactly made her heart stop beating.

Have a hard time deciding? he mumbled sleepily while stealing a quick glance at her. She quickly bit her lip as she tried her best to hold back a smirk. He noticed right away and quickly rolled her over so that he was fully on top of her. If you keep biting your lip like that, I’m going to show you what consequences come along with such actions, he growled while slowing grinding his hips against her. His slow teasing soon made her utter a moan of frustration and she arch her hips up off the bed, which only seemed to make him growl even deeper than before. He intertwined his hands into hers and pinned them down on to the mattress.

His brown eyes locked with her own and it was in that exact moment that she knew what her biggest fear was.

    Him.

He was her good, her bad, her other half, and her biggest fear, all wrapped into one.

    Goodness gracious she thought..

    The Knifes Edge

She stepped into the bright hallway, fierce morning sun having risen. It’s a matter of confidence, of consequence, she said. Her steps were measured, placed carefully. Each second was one less to live. The light hit her
