About this ebook
Do Angels lie?
Just because Megan Barnett recently defeated Satan, has a fantastic new best friend, and has won the love of deliciously handsome Guy Matson doesn't mean her troubles are over. Far from it. For Megan doesn't realize it, but in her possession is a powerful weapon, one sought after by both angels and demons and everything in between...
Then when the mysterious and beautiful Roxanne shows up at Guy Matson's side, Megan finds herself questioning the sincerity of his love.
In the dramatic sequel to "Boyfriend From Hell," Megan becomes a pawn in the power struggle between Angels and Nephilim, and winds up in a gripping life-or-death battle to save herself, the angel she loves, and all of mankind from unspeakable evil.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed Book 2 just as much as Book 1. Now that Megan has chucked Satan back to Hell where he belongs, she can concentrate on healing her wounded heart after the death of Matt, salvaging her friendship with Erin, and spending time with her now-grounded Heavenly Angel, Guy. Even the best laid plans have bumps in the road.Megan still has the The Book of Calls--the tool used to defeat Satan. Now, everyone wants the book; Angels in Heaven, Demons in Hell, and Nephilim on Earth. There are very typical teenager moments in this book (it is YA after all). 1. After Matt's death, the Poplarati invite her to The Explosion, a "ditch day" tradition. She is then accused by the Principal of the school and threatened with expulsion from the school unless she gives up the names of everyone else that was there. She refuses, not wanting to be the snitch.2. Guy shows up to a basketball game with a beautiful angel at his side and Megan fears the worst--he is breaking up with her for this beauty. Of course, there are tears, accusations, and miscommunication. 3. Discord between her and Suze (her mom), which is a typical teenager problem (I was a teenager once, a typical one at that).Megan's former friend, Erin, transfers to another school and refuses to talk to Megan at all; angry because she blames Megan for Matt's death. She also befriends some ruffians from her new school. This particular plot line isn't explored in Book 2 but I hope it is in Book 3.Guy, now that his wings are clipped and he's grounded to earth, spends as much time with Megan as possible. Since Suze isn't fond of him, it's mainly at school. Megan never reveals that she is in possession of The Book Of Calls to Guy but he eventually finds out...after it's too late. The demon obsessed with finding The Book Of Calls has tricks up his sleeve, requiring Megan to save the boy she loves. We got to know Megan and Guy a bit better in this installment and it really helped me connect better with them.(Book provided by book tour promoter in exchange for an honest review)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I read this book in one setting, and hate that it ended in a cliff-hanger that I will have to wait until December to finish. I did not enjoy this one as much as the first, I found Megan a bit annoying, but that does fit the characteristics of a teenager, so I can handle it. The plot moved very fast and I did read it in one sitting. I did not learn much more about Guy, I did enjoy the two new characters of Harrison and Roxanne. I will anxiously be waiting for the next one...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Megan Barnett is still reeling from her battle against Satan. In the blink of an eye, she's lost her two best friends - Matt, who died for the noble cause and Erin, who blames her for Matt's death. The loss of both deals her heart a heavy blow, but she knows that sometimes all things happen for a reason. Even if she can't quite understand why.She now has a cute boyfriend, an angel, no less, by her side. Surely, that counts for something. Yet deep inside, she knows that nothing can replace the emptiness she feels inside for the loss of her best friends.Guy Matson, a fallen angel who's fallen in love with Megan, has been entrusted with her safety. A task that isn't as easy as it sounds. Demons have begun to resurface, intent on claiming the weapon that is, unbeknownst to him, in Megan's possession. Trying to hold up his end of the bargain, he does his best to ensure that his new girlfriend is protected at every moment. Yet little does he know, Satan has other plans for them both.Acquiring a new best friend, Megan tries to understand the paranormal world that now surrounds her. Her mind, at times, cannot fathom that there are angels and demons fighting over her with every step she takes. Yet deep inside, she knows she has the upper hand against Satan. For the moment, anyway. As her life starts spinning out of control and she finds herself in hot water at every turn, she realizes she needs all the help she can get. With Guy at her side, anything is possible. But only if they can stay alive long enough to complete the mission that has been set forth before them.I technically should have started reading the first book of this series, but in all honesty, it's not necessary. Sure, it's always good to start at the beginning, but this is the type of series where no matter what you book you start with you, you won't get lost while you're reading it. E. Van was able to fill us in on what transpired in the first book with subtle hints in this second book. I honestly enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to reading the first book soon as well as what transpires next in this series. It's that good!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5EARTH ANGEL, by E.Van Lowe is the sequel to Boyfriend from Hell which I absolutely loved!! Megan is one of those characters that really sticks out in your mind when the book is long finished. She is quirky, intelligent, and has a heart of gold.It really surprised me that this book was written by a man. Lowe really got into the mind of a fifteen year old girl and I was astonished that he accomplished that. These books remind my of the Ruby Oliver series by E. Lockhart in such a good way! I love reading about semi-nerdy girls who are thrown into impossible situations over and over. With EA, Megan was up against demons once again but without much help from anyone this time. In BFH, the relationship between Megan and Suze starts to get a little rocky but in this book it is practically an avalanche of emotions and most of the time they are not good. I felt bad for Megan since in the past she has been BFF's with her mom but being a teenager is hard to avoid and especially when you are up against demons.I was a little bummed by the romance factor. I loved the relationship between Guy and Megan at the end of BFH and I was sad to see it got a little out of whack in this book. I am crossing my fingers for their relationship to continue in the next book but we shall see!I loved BFH so much I was a bit hesitant about EA. Most series have the dreaded second-book syndrome where there is not much action and more of a set-up for Book 3. But I am pleased to report that this book was just as action-filled as the first. EA continued the few leftovers from BFH and included more characters and a massive cliffhanger! I am very excited for the next installment, Heaven, but too bad I have to wait a whole year!Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone. It is fun, intelligent, hilarious, with a paranormal story that will keep you glued to the pages.
