“I like being afraid of boys. I’ve been trying to get that rush back ever since. Why do you think you’re here, silly?” Everything about Evelyn lit up when she released her girlish yet alluring laughter. Drake liked how she shared this intimate part of herself so freely. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he smiled back at her. She was indeed intriguing. He suddenly began to feel like he wanted to enjoy her for much more than merely a handful of sinful engagements. Even worse, he already knew he wanted her to remember him.

“And what is your limit on fear, Evelyn? There’s fright, and then there’s terror. How much can you let yourself fear me?”

“Somewhere in between fright and terror. I’ll let you figure out exactly what my faces of passion are.”

Drake was taken aback. He had never had a woman connect with him so spontaneously. She sat in front of him, willingly giving herself to him. Together they would mutually fulfill each other’s sinister lust. He was accustomed to seeking this nature out in women who weren’t nearly as self-aware as she was, and once desires were satisfied, he had to erase the event from them for his own protection.

“Maybe I want to push beyond your limits. Do you trust me not to?” A lock of black hair fell across Drake’s brow.

“If I didn’t trust you, I wouldn’t be here. I admit, it’s hard for a woman like me to trust a complete stranger, but that’s part of the rush. I look at the facts, and you sure spent lots of time communicating with me if your intentions were otherwise. All those things you wrote. The time you spent chatting with me, seducing me with your careful choice of words. You could have just stalked and violated me at the first opportunity.”

That much was true. Drake was here at Evelyn’s request after months of online chatter. He had gained her trust through their shared desires. Once they found each other, they so easily slipped into their dominant and submissive roles that it was hard to imagine their cravings weren’t mutual.

“Violating you is in the plan, Evelyn. Stalking would have to be arranged, though.” The lure of Drake’s mischievous smile caught Evelyn off guard, and she smiled back into Drake's dark eyes. There was that flash of deep blue again. She was finding it difficult to release her gaze, and this made her feel guilty for wanting him.

I love writing and have been writing fiction/drama in the form of short stories. Perhaps the drama was a bit too heavy and I thought a change was necessary. The simplicity of story, mixed with fantasy and description, got me on to romantic fiction. My first series, Elixir , really focuses on some of the most basic romantic fantasies. I am also hoping the descriptive narrative is appealing to women.Writing romance feels like getting back to the simple basics of story telling. It was also fun writing the descriptive and hoping I was hitting some of the buttons of my readers. I look forward to finding out if they liked it. In any case, I am committed to writing more and will modify my style as I get more feedback. I am also considering another series, but I'll only share that with those who wish to know.Enjoy!
