    Chapter 1: Introduction

    To look at the title one could get the impression that the author is a pessimist. For surely, a thousand is a sizeable number and most 'positive' books deals with far smaller numbers, like 'Lose weight in 14 days' etc. My intent is neither to be positive nor negative, but rather to be objective. For I am a firm believer in what might be a maxim; 'Correctly identifying the problem is half the solution'. So if we can correctly identify the problem, we are half way home. Consider the identification of the problems as the first steps in a long journey. A few caveats before we start. You may or may not agree with my list, which may lead you to question the synergistic effects I present. The underlying pathology that I discuss may give you pause. That's as it should be, so verify what is presented by doing your own research. My agenda is for standing up for personal liberty and basic human rights. The list appears in no particular order or rank, but don't take that to mean that all the problems are equal in complexity or severity. Also, bear in mind that the list is not exhaustive, but rather representative.

    In order for us to get America back on track we first need to ask, what is America? A simple answer is the land and its people. The land is self explanatory, but the notion of people is complex indeed. We are more than organic creatures, we are our hopes, dreams, relations and actions. According to Harry Browne, "America’s uniqueness rested on three pillars.

    The Bill of Rights

    The first is the concept that government is limited to a few specific, clearly defined functions. The Bill of Rights makes this clear. The 9th and 10th amendments specify that the federal government may not do anything that isn’t spelled out in the Constitution.

    Voluntary Association

    The Bill of Rights frees you to engage in any kind of activity you want with consenting adults, provided you don’t forcibly impose upon the person or property of others.

    The Free Market

    Voluntary association produces the free market - where each person can choose among a multitude of possibilities. The free market empowers the most effective regulator in the world - you."

    As the Declaration of Independence so eloquently states in the second paragraph:

    ’WE hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness --‘

    Not a lot of words there, but loaded with meaning. There are many that argue that these United States are a secular kind of organization, but the inclusion of the word 'Creator' and the term 'Nature's God' in the opening paragraph, coupled with '..by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven..' in article VII of the Constitution, would certainly call that notion into question. The beauty of all this is that when the 1st amendment to the Constitution states, 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof', all men are placed on equal footing in this new nation with recognized rights. That is a powerful idea and most certainly a beacon to repressed people everywhere. The 'American Dream' if you will. The idealists who have become cynics will tell you that you have to be asleep to believe it, but I would disagree. The idea still lives in the hearts and minds of Americans and probably people the world over in general. Together in a spirit of cooperation we can get America back on track, right the wrongs in the interests of justice, search out the truth, dispel the lies that keep us hobbled and to become again that beacon of light for the people the world over.

    Chapter 2 - International Regulatory

    1)The UN through Codex Alimentarius should have no business telling me what vitamins and minerals I can have or what food additives I have to put up with and the:

    2) Congress has no right/power/authority to enter into any international agreements to do so.

    3) NAFTA's acronym should be SHAFTA, because that is what regular people north and south of the border are getting. NAFTA uses 2400 pages to define 'free trade' while it could be described by an elementary school student in 2 sentences.

    4) As originators and signatories of the Nuremberg Protocols and Geneva Conventions, government officials who violate them need to be treated as the war criminals they are.

    5) Depleted Uranium munitions are somebody's idea of a way to make money off nuclear waste. It is a misnomer in that there is nothing depleted about it. Plain and simple, they are radioactive and violate the Geneva conventions.

    6) The North American Union is another abomination you don't hear much about. Just another approach to undermine the national sovereignty of the United States. It was promoted by President George W. Bush a few years ago as the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) and started to stir up trouble so the powerz backed off a bit. The North American Union (NAU) is still very much in the works. Just what Americans need is to have politicians from Ottawa and Mexico City deciding what kinds of taxes we will be responsible for, eh amigo?

    7) Enough with carbon credits crap. I see where this is going and at this rate I will be taxed for exhaling carbon dioxide or need a permit to breath.

    8) Agenda 21- UN initiative to ultimately control all the land allowing for no private ownership. Sustainability, Smart growth, Smart Cities, Biodiversity, non-human habitat zones, land use codes, and Going Green are all terms supplied by the UN to give people the warm and fuzzies while they slowly strip you (through a compliant congress and presidency) of your rights and sovereignty. One more step towards globalism.

    9) Wetlands - Local designations for a facet of the UN Agenda 21 program.

    10) Sanctuarys - Different facet of the same Agenda 21 program.

    11) International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) - Local Governments for Sustainability Communities pay ICLEI dues to provide local community plans, software, training, etc. Additional groups include American Planning Council, The Renaissance Planning Group, International City/ County Management Group, aided by US Mayors Conference, National Governors Association, National League of Cities, National Association of County Administrators and many more private organizations and official government agencies. Foundation and government grants drive the process. The UN Agenda 21 in action at the local level.

    Chapter 3 - Corporations

    12) Genetically modified foods are not something I want to eat. Ingesting prions made by blasting plant cells with a gene gun is not something I want to have to consider every time I need to eat.

    13) Monsanto - First with PCB's, then Agent Orange and last but not, least GMO's. No wonder they have to advertise at DisneyWorld. How else would they be able to maintain such a great image? Have to do it in fantasy land because that stuff doesn't fly in the real world. They are trying to become the only seed producer in the world by producing terminator seeds (seeds of seeds which are sterile), which impacts 80% of the farms worldwide since they rely on seed saving.

    14) Eisenhower warned of the Military-Industrial-Complex (MIC) in 1961. Shouldn't we begin to listen already?

    15)RIAA

    16) Viacom – One of the big six media giants who just can’t manage to get the truth out.

    17) GE - their malfunctions are legion. As owners of NBC, they peddle propaganda. As a military contractor, they reap tremendous profits from war. Their slogan 'They bring good things to life' may be true in some cases, but mercury filled fluorescents isn't one of them. Mercury is a huge hazard to living things.

    18) Blackwater - Or Xe (whatever their latest name is). Just what the American people do not need is a private army answering only to the executive branch. Another standing army.....

    19) General Motors -Before the bail-out they were never going to have a profitable quarter. Makes sense; I'll never buy another new car from them. Had a car that was 5 years old and needed a dealer part...not available, that is a messed up business model. Sure, take the bail-out money and maybe buy some land down in Paraguay ( next to the 100000 acres GW has) for the chief executives and then close up shop. Last I heard they were taking bail-out money and investing it in..wait for it....Brazil. Apparently, they lose about $49000 for every Volt they sell. They build Cadillacs in China and some of their factories continued doing business with the Nazis even after the USofA formally declared war. They fudge their sales numbers by stuffing inventory to their dealers. Time for another bail-out.

    20) ATT - You suck. Spy on your customers for the NSA. Bye-bye.

    21) Verizon - Ditto.

    22) Hollywood as purveyors of propaganda.

    23) NBC – Owned by GE.

    24) CBS Corporation – Another one of the top six media giants. Same old same old. Went so far as to fake an exploding gas tank on a Chevy pick up truck years ago on a segment of their ’60 Minutes’ program.

    25) ABC – Owned by The Walt Disney Co.

    26) Lockheed Martin - In 1970 Lockheed was on the verge of bankruptcy despite being the largest defense contractor. A bailout plan was engineered by Treasury Secretary John B. Connally, which provided $400 million in credit and an additional $250 million in loans. By 1977, Lockheed had 'paid' it back through taxpayer funded gov't contracts.

    27) Northrup Grumman

    28) SAIC – Up to their armpits in spook and military stuff.

    29) Economic Hit Men

    30) CACI – Abu Ghraib torture victims were allowed to sue. Unfortunately, the US Court of Appeals ruled that CACI did in fact fall under US military chain of command and thus had government contractor immunity.

    31) Titan/L-3

    32) Booz Allen Hamilton – Majority owned by Carlyle Group.

    33) Bechtel – An engineering consulting firm which John Perkins describes as an agent in a quiet conspiracy. They are direct recipients of funds when the economic hitmen target countries.

    34) KBR - Allow the rape of their women contractors in Iraq.

    35) Halliburton – where to start with this one? Dick Cheney is always a good place. This company has made huge profits from the engineered wars. Fraud, waste and abuse is what they do. One Halliburton employee told the story of equipment shipped to Iraq in the form of trucks that came with no engine oil in them. Ran them until they blew up, scrapped them and got new ones, all on the American taxpayer’s dime. Wow.

    36) Google - If it was started using seed money from the CIA and they index and catalogue and store everything, isn't that a little disconcerting when you think about it? StreetView is a major invasion of privacy and a giant data gathering operation.

    37) Microsoft - As much as they helped make desktop computers for everybody a reality, including an NSA backdoor in their crypto API (used in all ‘secure’ communications since Windows NT) is a little over the top.

    38) Carlyle Group – Just look at the names associated with this group.

    39) Mobil (now ExxonMobil) - For telling a subsidiary named Solarex to stagnate development of solar cell technology.

    40) Polydimethylsiloxane - Pizza Hut is using this silicone-based chemical as a stabilizer for cheese in their pizza. All other products that contain not for human consumption stuff.

    41) S&P – Just another casino like Dow Jones, where the house always wins.

    42) Dow Jones – As a stock index, they are indicative of nothing. Buying a share of the Dow Jones in September 2000 would make you a loser September 2011. Adjusting for inflation would make
