    Introduction

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Earth began as a dark and empty place filled with a deep and a never-ending ocean of water. God then said, Let there be light. He saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness, calling the light, day, and calling the dark, night. In six days, God created evening and morning, the sky and the land, the sun and the moon, all living things in the oceans and all living things in the sky, God saw that this also was good. God then said, Let us make man in our likeness. God then blessed mankind decreeing that man have children, be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, be ruler over every fish in the water, every bird in the air, and every living creature that moves on the ground. God then decreed that every man rule over every plant on the earth that bears its own seed. God also gave the plants to every breathing thing for food, and he saw everything he had made, and it was very good. The lord God had not sent any rain forth on the earth yet, and there was also no man to work the land. So the lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed a breath of life into him then man became a living person. God completed all his work on the sixth day. On the seventh day he rested and made that day holy. God put the man in the Garden of Eden so he could work the ground and take care of it. God then commanded him and said, You can eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, but do not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, if you do, you will surely die. Then the lord God said, It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make him a help mate who is just right for him. So the man named all the animals, birds, and living creatures but did not find a helper that was right for him. God then caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; God then removed one of his ribs and closed up the opening in his side. The lord made a woman with the rib he had taken from the man. God brought her to the man, and the man said, Her bones have come from my bones, and her body has come from my body. She will be named woman because she was taken out of a man. That's why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife so they can become one, naked, with no shame.

The serpent, the most clever and subtle of all the wild animals, approached the woman while she was alone, knowing she was the weaker vessel, and asked, Did God really say you must not eat the fruit of any tree that is in the garden? The woman responded, We can eat the fruit of the trees that are in the garden, but not the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and we’re not to even touch the tree or we will surely die. The serpent then said, God knows that when you eat the fruit of that tree you will know things that you have never known before and you will be able to tell the difference between good and evil. You will be like God. She didn't realize God had already made them in his image. So the woman saw the tree and seen that the tree was good to eat, looked pleasing, and would make a person wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. She also took some of the fruit to her husband, and he ate the fruit also. Then both of them knew things they had never known before and also realized that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made clothes for themselves.

They heard God approaching them in the garden, so they tried to hide from God, and he called out to them and asked, Where are you? Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten the fruit of the tree I commanded you not to eat? The man answered, It was the woman you put here with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it. Then the lord said to the woman, What have you done? The woman answered, The serpent tricked me, that’s was why I ate the fruit. The lord God then spoke to the
