I grew up in a very small town in Central New York, and i mean so small if you blinked you missed it. I learned to love everything small town and I miss it everyday I'm away. I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2009, but have been resigned to working retail. There I met my best friend who re-ignited my passion for all things paranormal. Putting pieces together from stories I had written in childhood, I came up with my first short book, Siofra's Song. From there I've gone wild with Siofra's world and expanded into contemporary romance. My Wakefield Romance series centers around a small town in Virginia and women who fall in love with Navy SEALs and the struggles they go through to be together. In the near future I will also be expanding into historical romance with my Viking Dreams Series. I hope you like them and follow me on Twitter and join my Facebook page!

    Special Thanks

To my friend S.B. for being an un-drainable fountain of supernatural knowledge and resources. Spending the time to research, drink wine and read my ideas. A bizillion-million-trillion thanks. To my friends, family and co-workers that supported my first work, THANK YOU! Your support means more than you’ll ever know. And finally, C.S.- for silently supporting me even though I left mounds of dirty dishes un-done in the sink and the rugs un-vacuumed while I typed away at my computer. Love you.

    Thank You All.

    Note to my readers:

There have been some inquires as how to pronounce my main characters name. Well I prefer to pronounce it as Sof-ra, like saying 'soft' by missing the 't'. You can however pronounce it as Shee-fra as the name can be taken as either pronunciation. I look at it as Sof-ra only because it sounds more feminine.

    Thanks again

STAY TUNED AFTER THE EPILOUGUE FOR A SNEEK PEEK AT THE THIRD INSTALLMENT IN THE BROADUS SUPERNATURAL SOCIETY SERIES: SIOFRA'S CHANGE

[Found on the Computer of Siofra Johnson]

    Compiled Research: S.J.

Shifters and were-beings have been known to humans and society for almost 200 years, before we were myths and legends, things that would steal babies in the night. Werewolves have walked among men for thousands of years. Herodotus was reportedly the first to mention them in literature, back in 430 B.C., with his accounts of the Neuri tribe. Herodotus wrote that every member of this tribe turned into wolves for a couple of days in the year, then turned back into their human form. This was true, the Neuri tribe was one of the biggest settlements of werewolves in ancient times, populating a lot of eastern Europe.

Within the culture it is debated how werewolves were created. Those who are traditionalists believe that it started with Lycaon, the King who killed his own son, and tried to serve his flesh to Zeus, to try and disprove that Zeus was a God. Zeus turned Lycaon into a wolf form, to forever wander the earth and fill the night with his mournful cries and songs. From there, the trait spread to offspring through birth [contrary to popular belief, you can not be bitten and contract the genes, you might get a horrible infection, but no transformation, unless you have recessive genes in your family, but that's a whole other thing.] producing a blood line that has come to be known as The Pures.

Having The Pure bloodline meant that you could trace your bloodline back, unsullied, to Lycaon. These people carried special traits with them. There are ones who are telepathic, ones who can transport through thin air from place to place, and those who can telekinetically move objects. Matings were typically arranged, such as in royal Pures lines, to keep the line unsullied, but as with everything else, beliefs and traditions break to love. The bloodline has dwindled, and there are few that remain. However there are instances where people with The Pure bloodline in past family members have had children with special powers due to the other parent being of Fae blood.

The Fae are a species, thought at one time to be extinct, who were the ruling magical creatures in places like Ireland and Scotland for thousands of years. They bestowed their nature bound powers onto designated Priest and Priestesses, known as Druids, to help humans feel a connection with the Fae realm. The Fae hold court in a plane unseen to the human eye, but those with nature bound powers, such as were-animals of all breed and Wicca practitioners, can see the portals, if they know what to look for. The Fae rarely ever cross into the human world, unless called on by one of their blood for help. In Western tribes of Native Americans, it was said that Fae like creatures dwelled in the Pryor Mountains of Montana, that's just about 5 hours west of here, just south of Billings. It's written that these magical creatures have strong medicinal powers and fiercely strong teeth.

Dark Fae, known as Elves, have a pension for killing were-beings. It's said that Elven creatures love to drink the blood of were-beings to gain their powers, for a limited amount of time they can shift into whatever creature they killed, thus being able to sneak up and kill others of the same breed easily. Some speculation is that this is to anger the Fae even more to their evil brethren. Elves were once held high in the Fae Court, until it was discovered they had dark intentions, then they were cast out, into a dismal, dark, death filled plane. They can not cross into the human world without being beckoned into it with a dark magic ritual, involving sacrifice.

Berserkers, are those within the werewolf and were-being community with the beliefs that our coming to be was strictly due to the bite of a wild beast. They believe that since they were created wild, they should stay wild, and therefore don't try to conform to society. They live on the outskirts of population, staying as long as they possibly can in wolf form, retuning to become men and women to mate and birth pups. They also have a 'Berserker form' when they transform, standing on two legs, looking like what most humans refer to when they think of Werewolves. Attacks on humans are prevalent in areas with known Berserkers, bringing the wrath of the government. The Federal Supernatural Control and Containment Agency eradicates Packs of Berserkers that are known to attack humans. The taste of human blood is said to cause the rift into being a Berserker. Maybe that's what happened to Kyle and Kevin? I'll have to ask Marcus.

There is no room in a civilized world for those who would rather act like a beast.

I wish my mother was still alive, so she could help me make sense of these damn dreams and this damn research I’ve done. I thought it would help sort some of it out, but now it just seems like more nonsense.

    June 2, 2015: 6:16 p.m.

I'm writing this before I head out to meet Conall at his parents house for the full moon bonfire. It's the first time in about 3 months that I'm going to try and go out on the hunt. The exhaustion caused by these damn dreams and the lack of sleep they are causing me has been grueling. These dreams started last month, that's why I haven't written in here, the screen has given me headaches every time I turn it on. These dreams have caused nothing but confusion and guilt in my life and I wish they would stop.

Last nights dream was an exception to the rest because of the scenery. Every one before was in this beautiful meadow, around dawn, the sun peeking over the hills and dew on the waist high grass. I always had on the same, white sundress, knee length with red flowers all the way up the middle, with it's sweetheart neckline. Last nights dream however was at night; the sky pitch black, emblazoned by an abnormally huge moon that glowed blue. I was in a forest, surrounded by ancient pines and sycamores, my white dress replaced with a full length black, chiffon type thing with feathers.

I walked through the trees, touching the bark and listening to the owls and crickets. Coming to a pond, it was like looking into a mirror. The moon bouncing off the lake shooting beams of light on the lining trees. I spooked a few frogs, making them plop into the water when I heard his voice. The same musical tone that has seemed to hypnotize me all the nights before. I see him, across the pond sitting on a log, and even though my wolf barks and yips, telling me to turn and run, I can't help but work my way around towards him.

My little Elf. he calls me as I approach. He never calls me Siofra, always his little Elf, or his precious Elf. I've looked it up, and my name indeed means Little Elf, Precious Child and Changeling. So, in a way I guess he's using my name. My wolf is pacing, whimpering, pawing in my mind as I get closer and closer to him, picking up my dress so that i don't trip.

As I reach his log, he stands to his full height, towering over me. His pale, broad shoulders seem to glow in the moonlight, his muscles tight and strong underneath. His normally blonde, pony-tailed hair is loose to his shoulders and glinting silver, the reflections from the pond making it glitter even more. He caresses my hair and his scent cascades over me, smelling like sun-ripened berries and fresh cut flowers after a light rain. It makes my head swim.

This man with the pointed ears smiles down at me, and it seems for a split second that his teeth are jagged and silver capped, but then his mouth is perfect again. His touch is warm and soft as he rubs my cheek with his thumb, lightly moving his fingertips down my neck and over my shoulder. My wolf howls at me, but I can't help but swoon into his touch. I gaze up into his other-worldly white-blue eyes, and they are undressing me with desire.

My little Elf, he breaths into my ear, making me shiver, beware of those who would take you from me, those who say they are friend. I can't help but run my hands over his expansive chest, pushing aside his black button up shirt, popping the buttons loose all the way to his waist. It frustrates me that I can't talk in my dreams, it seems like he has some hold over me to stay silent. This man who I don't know the name of, just makes me want to touch him, kiss him, let him have me stripping me of that black dress, the whole time my wolf howling and growling.

I awoke at the usual 2:31 a.m., drenched in sweat, trembling, laying in bed next to Conall, who is sleeping soundly. The tears of guilt come immediately, so I check on Roan, Clyde and Markie, all sound asleep, so I spend the rest of the morning out on the porch. The early summer air tentatively eased my anxiety as I sat on the lounge and drank my coffee, watching the sun come up over the trees.

I've tried my hardest to hide my anxiety and exhaustion from Conall, but I'm positive he sees through it. I see the sideways glances he gives me when I say I'm okay. I catch his concerned glares out of the corner of my eyes when I stop clearing tables at the bar to rub my throbbing temples. He just hasn't brought any of it up yet, he's waiting for me to confide in him. The research I've tried doing hasn't led me in any right direction to where these dreams are coming from. I just wish they would stop! But, do I really? That's the horrible thing.....

Well I have to get going, gotta drop the boys off at Cassies. Her and Sylvia are watching them tonight. The boys love their newest cousin, baby Lily, and she's the apple of everyone's eyes, especially her parents Sylvia and Mike. As Always,

    S.J.

Hello All. Just sending this because you all should know there have been some strange developments. At 8a.m. this morning, my team and I executed a search warrant on the Bokan Residence in Buffalo, N.Y. The house was empty, except for the scrollings and miscellaneous items pictured in the attached images. There was a strange ominous feeling through out the building, even Duncan said he thought he felt someone watching him.

Madame Petit, if I could implore you to inquire within the Wiccan community at your disposal as to what those symbols mean, I would be extremely grateful. Please email ASAP.

There were huge amounts of blood and splatter found in the master bedroom and hallway. The types have been matched to Kevin Sr. and his wife Shelley, they are already considered deceased at this point in the investigation. Their youngest son, Kaeton, has not been heard from since two weeks ago, we believe he is on the run.

Please do not pass any of this along to Fry. I know she has been stressed by something lately and I don't want her to worry. Keep your eyes and ears open for any signs of this boy, we are classifying him as armed and dangerous. Please reply with any thoughts or questions. Keep safe!

    CHAPTER ONE

Come on now, stop fussin’ boys. Siofra pleaded as she buckled 10 month-old Markie into his car seat. Her sons’ blue eyes that mimicked her own smiled up at her as he cooed and gurgled at her. Clyde is just tooting away with his toy train in hand, his green eyes the same shade as Conall's. Roan sat in between his younger brothers, his 2 year-old mouth jibber-jabbering at them, making them laugh even more.

Hopping in the drivers seat of her newly purchased Chevy Equinox, she backs out of her driveway, headed toward Cassies’ Haston Street home. The early June air was peaceful and warm, the sky just starting to orange for the sunset. Siofra sported sunglasses, even with the waning light, to try and head off the pending migraine at the pass.

One stop light and two right turns later, she pulled up in front of Cassies’ home, honking at the kids running around in the yard. The faces of 6 year-old twins Tim and Tommie are the first to light up in smiles, breaking away from the others to run to the newcomers. Siofra waves to Cassie and Sylvia as
