Sarah James was a normal taxpaying law abiding citizen until she was late for her train. Snatched into a world she's only read about life her once mundane life becomes more chaotic than she could have ever imagined when three masked men strap a bomb to her chest.

The rules are simple and specific. If she follows the instructions they've given her, Sarah James' family will live. If Sarah fails, those she loves most will suffer in the worst ways imaginable before they are murdered. And it's those words she keeps in mind as she walks towards the TRAM with a bomb strapped to her chest.

As if the bomb wasn't bad enough, Sarah's also been given a time limit. She's got thirty minutes to do exactly what she was ordered to do, or her family will suffer the consequences.

So the question is, how much do you love your family? Is it enough to sentence hundreds of innocent strangers to death or injury? That is just one of the many questions Sarah will have to answer as her timer ticks down. She'll have minutes to make decisions that determines the fates of hundreds of strangers, her family, and even her own life.

Author’s Note:

Terrorism is a frightening word, one that has existed in one form or another since the dawn of man. While this story is fictitious, I realize it touches on a topic that is considered volatile in today's society.

Acts of terrorism have had monumental effects on people everywhere from all walks of life, from the CEO to the guy who mops the floors. Terrorism has no border, no nationality, or uniformed delivery system. While most terrorist acts are clothed in conflicts over religion, land, political agendas, and even race, it's important to understand that not all terrorists operate under an umbrella of agendas. Some merely enjoy the creation of chaos and pain they inflict upon those they deem deserving, or worse, simply choose innocent people at random.

With that being said, I feel it is my responsibility as an author to remind the reader that terrorism is a faceless and unpredictable enemy. Also bear in mind this short story in no way condones, approves of, or endorses terrorism in any of its forms
