EXCERPT:
Somehow we ended up on my bed, still kissing. Alex was really a perfect gentleman even though we were lying pressed closely together while we kissed. His breathing was becoming fast and rough and suddenly I could feel something against the lower part of my body. While it did take me a few minutes to understand what was going on, I finally did work it out. What I was feeling was Alex's penis - Oh Dear Diary, I can't believe I said that word - and it was erect, pushing against me. He seemed to be losing control as we continued to kiss and caress each other...

The moment Sandra Ross held her first romance novel when she was ten, she knew she was going to write romance. At thirty now, a prolific reader and a freelance writer, she's since then expanded her preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres—paranormal , fantasy, sci-fi even, and erotica. She loves challenging herself and would write on a dare. On a normal day, she would be found in her herb garden collecting spices for her kitchen or ingredients for her potions; in her huge eclectic Provencal kitchen with the big modern oven cooking pots and pans of food for her family of one husband and three kids (an ardent daughter and two boisterous sons) that'll probably last for weeks; in her library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an e-reader in her hands as she reads the latest erotic hit; or scribbling pages upon pages of different erotic lifestyles, searching for the one that feels like it was inspired by just the right mix of passion, story line, and sex. Aside from these activities, the rest of the time she'd be found in front of her laptop typing the latest Sandra Ross concoction for her readers.

Chapter One
CLARISSA GAZED IN SATISFIED PLEASURE at the old roll-top writing desk that now held a place of honor in her office. She had tried forever to talk old Mrs. Hopewell into selling it to her but the woman wasn't having any of it. However, once the lady had passed on, her grown children came in and held an estate sale. They all lived in other locations and just didn't want to deal with trying to transport their mother's belongings. So they had come in and chosen special items they wanted to keep for themselves and sold the rest. Even the house was up for grabs.
The house wasn't what interested Clarissa, though. She was much more interested in the antique desk, but she didn't spot it at the estate sale. Disappointed, she had bought a few knick-knacks that held sentimental value for her and left.
Shortly after the estate sale ended, Mrs. Hopewell's daughter had appeared at her door. Almost apologetically, she explained that her mother had left something specifically for Clarissa and she wanted to let her know. Glancing outside in her driveway, Clarissa spotted a pickup truck holding the long awaited roll-top desk. Two men were waiting to unload it.
Clarissa tried to keep her excitement to herself. She was worried that if Mrs. Hopewell's daughter saw how much she wanted that desk, she would start to question it and keep it for herself. Mrs. Hopewell's children didn't seem to realize what they had, so Clarissa was able to own the beautiful old desk at last.
The daughter's husband and son unloaded the desk from the truck and brought it into Clarissa's house. She felt a bit sorry for them because it was obvious that the desk was heavy. She did offer them some iced tea before they left, for which they were grateful.
The desk had been delivered to her only a few hours earlier, and she had spent time cleaning and polishing it until it was shining despite its age. Clarissa couldn't have been happier.
The desk held so many happy memories of her childhood. Her mother had been friends with Mrs. Hopewell, and the grandmotherly woman had babysat her when Clarissa's parents were at work. Clarissa had been granted hours and hours of coloring and drawing pleasure sitting right at that desk. Mrs. Hopewell's large Victorian-style house had also been clean, bright and sunny.
She truly hoped that whoever bought the house would take great care of it. The desk, though, was another matter, and it was now hers.
Walking over to the desk, Clarissa smiled happily. She ran her hand over it lovingly and started to explore it a bit. She had heard that these old desks held secret compartments and other fun things. This made her sit down in the accompanying desk chair and start to search in earnest to see what she could find.
It was while she was doing this that she discovered the main drawer was locked. Surely there must be a key somewhere, she thought. But her search yielded nothing helpful.
Determined to
