CHAPTER 1: A Lasting Friendship
It had been almost two months to the day since when Koby’s German Sheperd dog, Gordon, discovered something that looked like a small furry ball hidden one foot underneath a pile of dirt. Of course the green thing that was not much bigger than a golf ball was in fact an alien from Jupiter’s first moon, Moon Jargow.
The cute alien known as Welbo was a Greenwick. The Greenwicks were a highly adaptable species that could breathe both oxygen and carbon dioxide through tiny holes in their skin. They also had many other abilities that humans didn’t possess. One that Koby and his best friend from across the road, Samantha, had already discovered. A Greenwick can learn languages extremely quickly.
Welbo had demonstrated this by speaking with their dog, Gordon. Later at the park, he helped the Queen Mardella who was part of a royal family of black swans to communicate to the ducks of the lake.
Up to this day, Koby had a pretty ordinary life. He dreamed of magical adventures and most of all to become a pilot because of his love for airplanes.
Koby and Samantha, despite both being only eight years old, were suddenly called into a position of responsibility. They were to be the caretaker of the little green alien. Not in their wildest dreams had they ever expected to take up such an enormous task.
The discovery of an alien on Earth was of course something that had to be kept secret by the request of Welbo. He didn’t want the authorities to take him away for investigation. After all, Welbo didn’t deliberately come to visit Earth.
Welbo was still a young Greenwick and enjoyed meteorite-surfing with his friends. One day, he was
