CHAPTER 1

Greg had been married to his wife Katherine for three years. They had no children together and Katherine was not interested in having anymore. She already had a teenage daughter, Kendra, and theirs was a tumultuous relationship. Kendra was largely indifferent to Greg when he and her mother were dating and she only warmed up to him after the wedding, if for no other reason than the fact that it bothered her mother. Kendra would often run to Greg to mediate any conflict between them but Greg refused to get involved. Kendra wasn't his daughter and he felt it important to support his wife in all matters pertaining to how Kendra was to be raised.

Of course, Kendra was already becoming a very independent young woman—she was 18 and a senior in high school—and was always testing the limits with her mother and stepfather; in different ways of course. With her mother, Kendra was always pushing buttons. Trying to piss her mother off and irritate her for the sake of being irritating. With Greg, Kendra found an outlet from which she could test her sexuality and skills at manipulation and sexual politics. She did this by relentlessly flirting with Greg and doing everything she could to arouse him and get her mother to notice just how much he was aroused.
