About this ebook

From the Story:

“A woman never fails to understand a man!” said she.

I got up and said, “Cover your body.”

“Why? What happened? You don’t want that philosophical magic today?” she was laughing.

I had no words in my mouth.

“I looked for love and life with you but you sweet talked me into a world of yours. When you needed me, you came, and even today you came with that thought in your mind. If I were not sick, you would be enjoying your magic!” she was literally shouting.

    Chapter One: Under the Spell

We were under the spell of a magic, exactly like we happen to be in love, dreaming of something good, or burdened under unfathomable sorrow. The resultant feelings might be different but the overall effect on our mind is almost similar. We don’t want to be driven out of that trance, for there is a fear of losing the aestheticism of the moments of love, or coming back to the harsh reality of our existence from the depth of sorrow.

We were sitting on the bench in the small lawn in front of her house. We were oblivious to the world sleeping in their beds in our big town. Other things around us were unchanged but this was our first experience to be like this.

In the lawn there was a guava tree, the whiteness of the moon at 2:00 am, dew, silence, and the cat snoozing on top of the wall. All these things used to be always there but we were not there like this.
