    Question #1

What are the names of the official mascots?

    Wenlock and Mandeville

The two mascots are said to depict two drops of steel from a steelworks in Bolton. Wenlock, the official mascot of the London 2012 Olympic Games, wears five friendship bracelets that represent the five Olympic rings, has a head shaped like the Olympic stadium roof and has three points on his head signifying the three places on the podium. Mandeville, on the other hand, is the official mascot of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. He wears a time device to track his personal best. Its name was derived from the Stoke Mandeville Hospital that was responsible for the Stoke Mandeville Games in 1948 which became the inspiration for the Paralympics.

    Question #2
