Change is inevitable. Things evolve and we need to adapt, and this doesn’t just apply to our jobs or how we interact with the younger generation, it extends to our hobbies, too.

Two of the layouts featured in this issue are great examples, both being second versions of the originals. Our first, ‘Oakhurst Town, was completely rebuilt to become more lightweight and exhibition-friendly, while ‘Brunswick Yard’ switched gauges to improve operation.

Starting again can be a scary prospect, especially if you have invested a lot of hours and money into the creation of your layout, but as these layouts prove, change can be a really positive thing.
