Sumayyah Talibah always knew she wanted to be a writer. At an early age, she began to entertain her family and friends with fantastic tales and songs. As a teenager, while being educated in the Detroit Public School system, Sumayyah decided to take her writing seriously. Poems and critical essays were her main focus at that time, although she did attempt her first novel during that period.Recently, the learning and reading (and reading and learning) has started to pay off.
