“Hey there, I’m Lucas, what seems to be the problem with your phone today?”

Lucas was now talking to a customer that amounted to a chiseled athletic beast. Messy jet black hair and sparkling green eyes accentuated the face of Neil, who was in for a tech support appointment. Neil was wearing classic SoCal apparel--a Cornell University hoodie, black sweats, and sandals. Neil was also wearing a few wristbands, two interesting ones being a rainbow pride wristband and a “I love boobies” wristband. Quite a contrast, Lucas thought.

Lucas spotted Neil the second he entered the store, and knew from just that slight outward appearance that he would help him. Lucas skipped 30 minutes worth of appointments, jumping down just to help out Neil specifically.

Neil was also accompanied by his father, who, from Lucas's perspective, must have been eight feet tall.

“Well, my phone is glitching up and freezing every few minutes,” the customer stated.

Lucas did his job properly, ran tests, and broke the news that he would have to replace the cell phone.

“Neil, don’t forget about your texting problem.”

“I got it Dad, it’s fine, Lucas is helping us out well.” cut in Neil, with a slight bit of uneasiness.

Lucas reassured Neil’s dad while finishing paperwork, saying, “Don’t worry, when we set up the phone it downloads all of its network information from scratch, so that should fix that issue. And, now, I’m done with the paperwork, so all I need is a signature.”

Neil’s father furrowed his brow, confused that he would have to sign on a computer screen instead of paper, then signed it.

“Perfect,” Lucas said, “Now, the paperwork is the last I really need from you sir, if you have any other business to attend to at the mall, Neil and I can take the transfer process from here.”

Neil’s father took the bait, and scrambled out of the store, presumably to look for “personal massagers” at the nearby Brookstone for his wife for mother’s day. (Lucas liked to invent little stories for crazy customers in his mind in order to keep himself sane.)

“So, uh,” Neil stammered, “I sort of have one more issue.”

Lucas smiled pleasantly, eager to spend as much time helping out a hot guy as possible. “Sure, I’ll be happy to help.”
