Astrology Fun Sun Sign Song Parodies with Birthdays of Famous People

About this ebook
In 1979, pianist and vocalist Lee St.Clair Gabor opened The Cellar Door Piano Bar on Stella Link in Houston, Texas. Each month a party was held to celebrate the birthdays of customers and staff. They became the "Cellar Door Family." The parties were held according to dates of astrological sun signs. To add to the fun, Lee wrote parody songs for each sign and for astrology in general. The parodies could be sung to the tunes of old sing-along melodies. Lists of the birthdays of famous people were given out. For this book, some birthdays have been added. Lee left The Cellar Door in 1983 and later moved to Dallas, Texas, where she used the parodies for private parties. Music for the sing-along tunes is not included.

I am first and foremost inquisitive, always wanting to know what goes on globally and locally and wanting to understand WHY! Being a newspaper reporter was the career with which I began. Then, as a pianist and vocalist, I spent a number of years entertaining throughout the U.S. I also owned a talent agency during that time. After those 25 years, my next career was in public education, which was something I never intended to do. Getting "drafted" into teaching and the time I spent as an Academic Coordinator were very interesting and I do so love the students and teachers, administrators, and staff members I met. I'm very proud of our students. After six years, I left teaching and moved near my son and his family. I became a Master Gardener and Master Composter, joined local organizations, and have been able to enjoy more time with my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I am thrilled that my professional focus now is limited to writing. I will be publishing both fiction and non-fiction works and begin that in new venture in 2012.

Dedication
This ebook is dedicated to all the fun people who attended the monthly astrology parties in Houston, Texas, where I played piano and sang in piano bars (as Lee St.Clair, then Lee Gabor after my marriage). These parodies were written between 1979 and1982.

Introduction
If you are a performer and decide to use any of these songs during your performance, please give credit to Lee St.Clair Gabor for the lyrics and please credit the people who wrote the original tunes. Thank you.
In Piscean Age Astrology the signs begin with Aries and move around counter-clockwise through Pisces. That makes Aries the head and Pisces the feet. Most people know their astrological sun signs.
Since we did astrological parties at the Cellar Door, I wrote parodies for us to sing at the events. Obviously, the Leo parties were the most raucous. At all the parties we had so much fun.
In these parody songs, you may recognize yourself, your friends, your lover or spouse, the current political candidates. Learn what tendencies lurk behind the scenes!
I began performing at The Cellar Door Piano Bar in Houston in June, 1979. Much more information on the Cellar Door and the mirror covered piano bar can be found in the ebook I published, A Tribute to the Cellar Door Piano Bar. It is available as a free download at Smashwords as well as other ebook sites.
Right after I opened at the club, we started a monthly birthday party according to Astrology Sun Signs. To make the parties more fun, I wrote lyrics to old sing-along tunes.
One other astrology oriented activity I added was placing Astro-Dice on the piano bar. There were three dice (planet, sign, house). I had bought my set at the Aquarian Age Bookstore on Chaucer in the West University area near Rice University in Houston. The store was operated by Lucille Brixey and Virginia Gray, whose son is Dr. John Gray, author of the best-seller, Men are from Mars Women are from Venus. He also developed the television show Ghost Whisperer.
I will always have a special place in my heart for the Aquarian Age Bookstore and the many wonderful people I met there. I feel the same way about other bookstores in Houston and especially the workshops Kim McSherry held at her home.
The Astro-Dice were a hit with customers. As mentioned, I put them out on the top of the piano and anyone could shake them and throw them. After I would complete a song (standards, musicals, jazz, blues, boogie, etc.,) I would pause the musical selections and comment on the throw of the three dice (one sign, one planet, one house). Then I’d offer an answer to the individual who
