INTRODUCTION

My company’s motto is this: When you are through improving, you are through. The mere fact you have decided to read this book shows that you aren’t through yet.

It is said that small keys open large doors. In this book, you will find small keys that will open up your marriage to wonderful new levels, if you decide to act upon them.

There have been many books written on the subject of marriage, yet the divorce rate is still running high at 1:2 marriages ending in divorce! Why is this? It’s simply because there are three types of people.

The first is those that refuse to acquire new information or education and don’t learn from others’ experiences.

The second are those that do acquire new information and education, and read about others’ experiences; however they don’t apply the new information to their own lives. Because of this, they never experience change in their marriage.

The third type of people are those that acquire the new information, education, etc, and do apply them; by doing this, they see wonderful changes taking place in their lives, relationships and finances.

I trust that you will fall into the third category as you read this book. It is said you can either learn from your mistakes, or you can learn from the mistakes of others—which is a far better way to learn.

Having achieved 25 years of marriage to my wonderful wife Lynne, having raised two wonderful children, and having successfully counselled and coached for 16 years with my wife at the time of writing this book, I feel I can bring a few thoughts to the table that will benefit you immensely.

The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting change. It’s time to get sane.
