We run down the road sucking in the cinnamon vanilla fragrance of the buds studding the blue and red Melamies' thick trunks as they lean over the road like an arch. If I had the time, I'd appreciate the bluish green sun beams flickering through the swaying branches. But when I look back, I can see umbrans running after us, hear the whooshing of their great wings.

They have wide yellow stripes down their chests, their front legs, and their wings.

Yellow stripes.

But I have no time to ponder that. They're gaining.
